Root [Virgin Mobile] Unofficial CM12 d2spr build

well then unless you go TW rotation will be the only real problem that the L710T has that the regular L710 doesn't have....but camera is ****ed on both..
Yea not having to access my pictures on Kik really bothers me. But its no big deal and not having a fully working camera is also big. I wish people could figure the camera issue out. I think it was an issue with most US phones. International phones don't have this problem.

Aaron the builder for our device and the L710 said we'll have to wait for the Sprint S5 to get TW LP so he can mess with the camera files....

Rotation is only an issue on the t model. Do you have the triband one? That null thing should not happen. Not normal at all. Maybe a bad download, did you check md5? Did you do a full wipe beforehand? System, data, cache, dalvik, and format internal SD. I would check md5. Liquid is just as solid as the other lollipop Roms. For camera just get open camera from the play store. Disable the stock camera and you're good to go. For video get vivavideo.

So I may need to reflash it right? I might redownload right now. Can you give me an example of how exactly it should look like?

Copy the md5 from where you download the ROM. Then you need an md5 checking app. It calculates the md5 of you're download, and compare it to the original you copied from the download source. Is that what you were asking? I'm not sure what you meant by show you an example.
Edit, I just realized that null is where the weather goes. You have to turn it on in settings. And make sure GPS is on as it uses that for location for weather.

Well I had to restart the phone due to the music player crashing a lot. But now it works after rebootView attachment 83115
Nice. Remember the lollipop Roms are going to have a few issues. They are not perfect. But none of the KitKat Roms are either. Picking one is just a matter of which issues you can live with.

For sure. On stock, everything works. But it takes FOREVER to work. Lol.

Man is that true. I went back to stock to update things... man, I couldn't respond to anyone in Hangouts without the keyboard taking forever to load just so I could type. I quickly went back to CM 11 M10; STOCK does work but it isn't worth it. I really think there is a kernel governor or similar reducing the performance to cause users to upgrade sooner than needed.

No it mainly touchwiz lack of optimization and heavy ram footprint.

Did they fix the camera issue ?
Yes. All Roms that are on 5.1.1 builds and have synced to cm12.1 have camera fixed.
AICP
Octos
LiquidSmooth
There is also official CM12.1 nightlies now on cyanogen's download page.
Make sure you use 5.1 gapps.
Also for virgin, some get data right out of the gate without APN fix but everything reads sprint. (No biggie)
If you don't get data, this is what it takes,
Flash ROM, gapps, and APN fix. Boot to system once, then back to recovery and dirty flash ROM and gapps only again (no wipe, and no APN fix)
Then you will have LTE and everything reading virgin mobile.
But try flashing without APN fix first, some of the Roms have 4g working fine, just says sprint for network and carrier.

I wonder if anyone had tried Octos ROM. If everything like camera works also is there something for the GPS? I'm pretty sure I'm not anywhere close outside... :/

I tried octos, worked great. For GPS issues, restore a tw backup or flash a tw ROM and get a GPS lock. Then restore back to octos or whatever ROM you were on and you should be good.
If that doesnt work, restore tw again and dial *#0*#, tap sensors and look in the compass at the bottom, waive your phone in a figure 8 until the compass has a 3 in it. Then restore your backup of octos, or whatever ROM you were on. This works, and has worked for all aosp and cm based ROM since KitKat. And still works now.
And yes camera works on all the Roms that are 5.1.1 now. Cm fixed the issue upstream. Front camera seems to cause reboots when you take a pic, but apperantly "a better camera" works for that. But rear camera, stock and all 3rd party cameras are working great.
