Hi so I attempted and failed at rooting my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 I must have downloaded the wrong file or something because I got a screen that said "firmware download encountered an error..." Now it wont re-boot or do anything. So that's problem one. Problem two is when I was adviced to put the original firmware back on I realized none of my computers USB will acknowledge the Tab 4. Also when I plugged in my phone Galaxy iii it wasnt being acknoweldged either. I tried different cord and it didnt work. I also plugged in a friend phone and it works just fine. Help me.....

Hello there!
I may not be that familiar with the Tab 4, but are you able to boot into download mode?
Have you tried to remove the drivers from your computer, reinstall drivers, reboot the computer?

The tablet wont turn on anymore and randomly flashes on once in a freak while. I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers and after reboting it still did not reconize the tablet or the phone. The tablet is the one I'm worried about. I tried it in different computer and it wasnt reconized their either.

Well, about your tablet....so no download mode, no recovery, no nothin' eh? Hmmm. Is there any signs of life at all when you plug it in to charge?

About the computer not recognizing the tablet. (not really an issue yet as the tab will not turn on)
I'll try to keep this thread topic about the tab as that is your main issue but.....
About the computer not recognizing the S3...try yet another cord, try another usb port, or, you may find this a little odd, but turn the S3 off. Pull the battery, pull the sim, pull the sd card. Insert battery. Boot up and let it boot up fully. Power down. Insert sim and sd. Power up again. Plug into computer.
If that don't do the trick, power off the S3. Plug into computer. Power up.
