I stumbled upon something rather interesting in the past few days that really expands the functionality and ease of use of my watch.
There's an app on the store called "Wearable Widgets" that is really cool. It will take almost any widget you have on your phone and sort of translate it into a usable version that you can see on your watch. For example, I've used HD Widgets for years. Well if you point Wearable Widgets to let's say the 2x2 HD Widgets widget, you can set it up just like you would on your phone. I did the weather widget that has current conditions and the conditions for the next two days. When you launch the app on your watch, you'll see the widget.
This is where it gets really cool though. Be sure to install Wearable Widgets first!
If you're using WatchMaker Pro (and you should be) you can create a button on your watch to launch your widget without having to either use Mini Launcher or fumble around in the menu.
You can do this with anything, but for the sake of simplicity pick a watch face you like. Go to Customize Watch. Do the + to add an element. Add a shape. Select circle. Scroll down to the bottom and select "Tap Action." Select "Watch: Select Application" and then "Widgets."
I've skipped over everything cosmetic here. Obviously put your button where you want it, make it whatever color you want etc.
Now, once you've applied that to your watch, when you click your button, you'll get your widget right away.
I've gone ballistic with this and I have a feeling I'm only getting started. You can add the Google Music widget and control music. I added a button that I linked to the Android Wear Flashlight so you can immediately click it on. Even using HD Widgets I added one that will turn the camera light on my phone on.
Now I see that there is also a Tasker function. <evil laugh>
World domination is next!
