I have just acquired new Android phone (running 4.4.2). It is my first introduction to Android and things have generally gone well.
However I cannot get rid of what I think is a google search screen. It appears as soon as I have entered my phone unlock code. It also lists some recent google activity. I can get rid of it by simply pressing the home key but I don't want to see it at all. My other half has the same phone and she does not get it so it must be something I have done by accident as part of the setup.
Any advice would be appreciated....
