[Official] User reviews

Robert7107 I'm curious what other phones you are considering?

I own the N6 and a Note 3 both of which I use daily. I bought the N6 for the screen size only and that has lived up to my expectations. I'll also give the N6 credit for placing the speakers on the front of the phone. Seems like a no brainer. I also use ADW Ex launcher. It allows you to make endless tweaks to the interface of the phone (it works fine on this phone. Ignore the reviews). The phone is fast, though I have experienced some lag occasionally. The battery lasts forever and the Turbo charger is great.

Now the rest. I am not a fan of this phone.

You WILL miss the LED light.

You will miss the IR blaster and the lack of ability to control your Xbox, Ps4, Blue Tooth speaker, smart TV , Receiver, Sound system, Roku, Tivo and any other device that use's an IR blaster (some people on this forum like searching for their remotes).

Front speakers are nice but people consume music this way? Geez I use my awesome Blue tooth speaker or Blue tooth through my receiver to my home theater. Then of course there are also head phones.

I also miss a dedicated home button (which has multiple uses). I also wish it had a stylus. No multitasking is another missing function. People also mentioned the awful button position (it's terrible)(Volume locker app cures some of that).

The in call and head phone volumes are not loud (they are much lower then past phones I've used)(You can root it to increase volume I guess). This is a known complaint. You can see my earlier comments for more info. Even just a "close all" function is missing.

So make sure these are things you can do without before spending your money.

Do I like the phone? It's OK. Great screen but for me I miss the functions mentioned and hate it's short comings. This is one of the top phones available but it's in no way the best killer phone. It will be long forgotten over the next 9 months as other phones are released that blow it away.

What I suggest? If 5.7 screen is big enough go get a Note 4. I spent $950. on Ebay for this phone. I'm not a Samsung fan boy but since I own and use a Note 3 daily this phones shortcomings are glaring.

Or check out the specs of the Note 5 due in September. I'll have a used N6 for sale if you can wait. Lol

If your main purpose for a smart phone is to control your electronics than I can understand, to me it is just another gimmick to sell a phone and a waste of time. I have a remotes for my electronics, why do I need a smart phone to replace them? Just me!! You can never beat the pure Android experience you get from a Nexus and a dedicated home button just means another mechanical feature to break down just like the iPhone. TouchWiz just slows things down and I have had Samsung devices in the past, and I can assure you there is no comparison. Certainly everyone has their opinion however the Nexus 6, in my opinion, is exactly what I want it to be and blows all others out of the water.

ROOTED!

Since I found myself liking this phone less and less I've rooted my first phone. Sad that I had to do that just to get an LED light to work. Also added Double Tap app. to wake the phone up. Blows away Ambient light (actually enhances it). Sad I had to spend money on Apps. for those functions to work. Also sad I had to tweak the volume files to actually hear people during a call or play music loud through headphones. I'm sure those issues will eventually be fixed with an update but I could not wait any longer.

So what I've done to improve my review of this phone:
Light Flow Pro for an LED light (text alerts, charging etc.)(Does not blink, solid light).
Volume Locker to avoid issues when I accidentally press volume buttons.
Double Tap to wake up the screen without picking up the phone (Ambient light was not 100% reliable).
Screen Off and Lock on Home screen rather than fumble between buttons.
Battery Monitor Pro for a nice % meter in the status bar.
ADW Launcher Ex Pro to tweak the home screens, icons etc.
I've also changed the volume of In-call volume and head phone volume. It works but you must restart phone.

It's only been 24 hours but honestly my opinion of the phone has improved 100%. I think I can live with it now. I was really considering getting a Note 4 and sacrificing the screen size (The only reason I bought this phone). I absolutely still want a stylus and an IR blaster but now I feel like I have a real phone again. Let me rephrase that, "had I been aware that those were the only things I was giving up by purchasing this phone I would have had no complaints". It's the list above that blows me away. It's all basic functions.

My advice to anyone who owns this phone or is considering buying it. Root it immediately and do the tweaks I and many others have done. SUCH a better phone. Here are the links I used and they are spot on. I had problems getting my computer to recognize my phone ADB drivers for rooting. Download the latest Google USB drivers and save the hassle.

Also there are a few instructions out there on raising the volume. This is the link to the correct one for this phone. Be careful I upped my headphone volume from 20 to 30 but heard no difference (had not restarted the phone. So I changed it to 40 and restarted). Almost blew out an ear drum!!! Be careful. This video is the way you do it (it's headphone specific). Change all the other settings in the first 50 lines of code from "84" to "99" for in-call volume and speaker volume. It works!!!

Nobody looks at the bottom of this forum (link to root forum)? I thought it would be difficult. It's simple. Your phone is completely wiped out. Back up and save your photos etc. Take screen shots of your screens and email them to yourself for reference.

http://androidforums.com/forums/nexus-6-all-things-root.2851/

Use this tool. It is spelled out in the link I posted. This is totally automatic. See the developers page.

Hey guys havent been here in a while (work) but ive got a question ..... how do you switch over for call waiting?? for some reason i keep on hangin up on people and when i get a call i dont see a button to press to do it..
There's a tiny circle with 2 arrows (curved up and down) in it on the right end of commands when in a call. Press it to switch callers. Honestly a joke the whole lollipop setup. It's a guessing game.

Just wondering since I have had mine for a while (I still need to put my thoughts about it down) do you still have your n6? Is it still your primary device? Do you use it now as a secondary device or have you just ditched it completely?

If you've ditched it completely or use it for a secondary device, what did you replace it with? And your network ...

Sorry, no issues what so ever, nothing! This is my main device each and everyday. Even pulled my N5 out the other night and I have no desire to go back even though it was a great phone. I hate to hear that some are having issues, wish they all were experiencing the awesomeness I am.

Finally some thoughts...THIS IS GOING TO BE LONG!!

I have had this thing for a while, a white 32gig nexus 6. I have rooted the thing, unlocked the bootloader, kept encrypted, gave ample usage time as my main driver and...

The long and short of it? I think I may be done with the nexus program. Sure, this is fresh software, and hardware but it seems with most of the nexus devices I have owned, its chasing a fix I suppose one could say. I hate to do this, I really do. But I am going to. I am going to complain. And while many may not agree with me, or even offer solutions or fixes, this is not what its about. I know, its a nexus device. I am basically a beta tester, well all are. So here goes.

The screen, its nice. I found it easier to type on using thumb keyboard, my go to keyboard. Its easier to type on then my smaller nexus 5, did, but now since I disabled the navigation keys via xposed (which is a work around in itself, it still works) I find typing a bit harder. Gravity box may need to go. I only use it pretty much for pie controls and expanded power menu, both not really needed. If I need to reboot, I need to go back into exposed and soft reboot to get things to work, as I said, a work around. Not a huge issue and its unfair to judge things by additional software.

I have had a few nexus 5s, two I have broken. All three battery did not last. It don't help I work in what is basically a dead zone, but still. Battery charge before work and if not by the end of my shift, when I got home. The Nexus 6, I DO seem to have to worry a little less about the battery, I can at least forget a spare charging cable. Almost. Battery, well I suppose could be better for the amount that I use it. Right now I think I will need to charge again while I sleep. I do need to get up early in the morning. The quick charger is a nice touch, the device does get warm, but it charges pretty quick, I do like this. I will use a standard charger for over night charging.

Sound? The regular speakers are a nice touch, they seem loud but honestly, I don't really use them. I use apple ear pods for my headphones because they are the loudest and I had them when I got my ipod touch several years ago. I still needed to go in and change mixer paths around some to get decent volume. Doing this, I forgot to make a backup, so you know what this means? Yup, no my system updates for me with out reflashing the system image and wiping my device. This is on me however, but still its another run around. Another fix I had to implement. With the mixer paths tweaked, headphone volume seems better.

Speaking of sound the keyboard clicks seem inconsistent. Sometimes louder then other times. Same with facebook and other apps when I refresh. Haptic feedback seems kind of wonky as well, feeling stronger at times and mushy at others.

Notifications? This is just BS. I wish the LED would work out of the box. Disable ambient display enable LED. How freaking hard would this be? Light flow? yeah, not after reading those reviews. Custom rom? Probably but it would be just yet another FIX I have to do. But I knew this when I got another nexus device. With out actively picking up my device when its out of earshot, I would miss messages.

And messages? I have been using hang outs. Recently a friend told me she was only getting 1/3rd of my message at times. Many times I will send a message and get sending... for over a minute. Wifi. LTE. Its random. The other messenger app that came with the device? Pretty much the same. Maybe I need to turn on delivery notifications. Now, in the phones defense it could be the app on the other phone cutting things off. But I am not so sure, and it could be a carrier problem as sometimes someone will send me a message and I will not get it until sometime later. "Hey, we are here to get you!" Only I will get the message when I am with my ride and on my way. App? Carrier? Device? Who knows. I have noted that depending who is texting me, I will get get an alert of any kind. Sometimes I don't even know until I go into hangouts and check! Not good. Texting is my main form of communication, way more the talking on my device, I mean like 99% of contact is texting. No alert or texts not sending or I don't know I get a text? This is bad mojo for me.

As far as the OS it self? Chrome tabs? I really don't like how I need to now hit the recents button to go through my browser tabs. This one really annoys me even more then I have to swipe every single program or chrome tab away instead of a "clear all" button. I am sure this may be addressed either by a new update which seeing as I modified my system mixer paths, I will need a work around, probably a system wipe to update too and or a custom rom which needs a system wipe. It is to the point I don't want to install games or some apps because of this! But I suppose I am at fault for tinkering with my device. I know what things are. Still. Sure Titanium may work but its still a pain.

Another minor annoyance. The curved back. While I am eating at work or something and I want to do a quick game round with someone, check my tweets, or load chrome or something, the device will not hold still. It spins, rocks and such. It is a bit of a pain. And trying to hold the thing? No chance with out a case. This is one device where I actually WANTED or NEEDED a case because it felt so easy to drop. The edges are almost non existent. Anyone drop their caseless nexus 6 yet!!?!

Apps seem to load slow, I have found myself tapping an app to launch then not sure if my touch was received. I end up pressing something twice and sometimes hit something I did not intend to due to lag. I had the option to un encrypt when I set things up, I opted not to. Looks like that may have been the better option.

So... that is my list of cons at least for me. One major pro however is, there are tools out there that I can use to perhaps address some of my issues. Well, great! That makes having a nexus device fun! What is not fun, and once again, as a nexus user, I did know this, I need to actually MAKE these changes, or fixes or what ever. The downside to this is I will need to wipe my device, find a rom or wait for the next iteration of android and wipe my device and restore to factory settings via ADB or rom. What. A. Bummer.

The camera. Its not too bad, I downloaded the manual camera app, but don't use it. Mostly because trying to in some lighting conditions, well its just easier to use the HDR mode with the built in camera software. Really not the fault of the device, this is personal preference. Results are pretty decent, some shots I can really crank in snapseed. The camera sometimes crashes or hangs however, so that is something to be aware of.

The wifi quick toggle, I end up hitting that to bring up settings. It just disables wifi. I know this, still its a habit and I keep doing it. The two tiered pulldown menu for settings just needs to go. Give me an option to turn off wifi or bring up the settings when I hit that toggle (disable or settings?) It is really annoying. I guess not a fault of the device. Still annoying.

Of course I knew this. I am not knocking the device for this. I bring this up because tinkering with the device is a choice that I made.

Right now I am thinking of cross upgrading to a note 4. The bundled software, the removable battery, the SD slot the probably louder headphone volume. And perhaps that encrypted bootloader to keep me from tinkering. A set it and forget it device.

Maybe I have gotten to the point where I have outgrown tinkering with my devices, or at least have two, one for a daily driver, and the other one for play and experimentation. Which is what lollipop seems to be, an experiment. Some features added to just to be added. The color scheme is cartoony. There probably was really not much wrong with kitkat, other then the name. lollipop would probably work better as a theme then an operating system. Somethings could be optional. Project volta at this point seems to be a way to zap your battery. Lollipop seems more of a unnecessary update bring form over function. It actually feels like more of a skin then android. Perhaps touchwhiz for kitkat?

Who knows. I got the device for the screen size and for an unlocked experience free of carrier and manufacturer garbage. And battery. Well, when I had a note 3 for a short time, the battery seemed way better. Right now I am sitting at 3h 15 min on time. 23% of my battery. About 2 hours left at 13%. And I am at perhaps 1/4 maybe 1/3 brightness.

---
Conclusion? I am torn. I really am. The high pixel density is not needed. The device was, at least at the time was probably my best option for what I wanted, a large screen, pure android and a large battery. But it really has not lived up to it.

I like that I can tweak things, but I also hate that I need to. Catch 22. As I said, that AT&T note 4 may be an option on a cross upgrade. Something I can keep games and other apps on and keep my data and just not worry about things. Just use it since the bootloader is encrypted and I can't even root it. Maybe I will enjoy that device more as a daily driver and keep the nexus 6 and hope the next update will make it the device I thought it would be in the first place.

Finally some thoughts...THIS IS GOING TO BE LONG!!

Long is good. :D

And while many may not agree with me, or even offer solutions or fixes, this is not what its about. I know, its a nexus device.

It kinda is what it's all about. ;) But that's a good thing too, as long as it's done respectfully. Nobody's going to chastise you for your opinions. It's not like this is the internet .... um ... yeah. ;) :D

Honestly I don't feel like a beta tester. Most of what I have to relearn is because of the changes in lollipop, not because it's supposed to work but doesn't. Some of the changes I love, others I'm not crazy about, but overall I do feel like it's a step forward. Eventually all the top phones will have lollipop and then you'd have the issue regardless of handset.

I'm not going to go over this point by point. I agree with some, disagree with some and don't have an opinion either way on the rest. There does seem to be a recurring theme. You are a tweaker. You like things to work a specific way and you're willing to take the steps for that to happen. So let me ask this in all sincerity ... If not a Nexus, then what?

Notifications? This is just BS. I wish the LED would work out of the box. Disable ambient display enable LED. How freaking hard would this be?

This is one I specifically disagree with. I find the lock screen notifications and ambient display to be much better than a flashing LED. Maybe they could have built in (or provided an app) to disable AD and switch to the LED, but that's keeping you feet stuck in the past IMHO. I do realize when you get used to something, especially something that you find useful, it's very hard to lose it, and there is a tendency for people to hate the alternatives. Anyway, that's my opinion. :)

As for the messaging thing, I'm going to have to think it's your carrier or your connection. The only time I ever get delayed messages is when I am on the very edge of losing signal entirely.

Another minor annoyance. The curved back. ... This is one device where I actually WANTED or NEEDED a case because it felt so easy to drop. The edges are almost non existent. Anyone drop their caseless nexus 6 yet!!?!

I'm with you 147% on these points. I've actually taken an old mouse pad and flipped it over at work to set the phone on so it won't spin. Of course it does introduce the opportunity for someone to come up with a "spin the bottle" app ... spin the Nexus? And I put mine in a case. It's the first phone I ever put in a case because it's the first phone I ever thought it needed one. The Spigen slim case clear is as close to caseless as I can find and still give me the protection i need.

The wifi quick toggle, I end up hitting that to bring up settings. It just disables wifi. I know this, still its a habit and I keep doing it. Still annoying.

Yeah, I do this too. BTW, you do realize that a one fingered swipe down shows notifications and a two-fingered swipe shows settings? Like everything else with lollipop, it takes some getting used to (and practice) but i am finding it useful, when I remember it.

I like that I can tweak things, but I also hate that I need to.

Would it be better to not have to tweak so much, but even if you wanted to, you couldn't? That would drive me bonkers.

Sorry, but it's hard to take this review very seriously. Instead of taking a little time with the phone to learn simple things like the 2-finger swipe of the notification bar, he assumes it's time to start tweaking. Gotta hit the Previous button to see Chrome tabs - must be a basic OS fault. Never mind there's an option in Chrome to revert to KitKat style tabs. No time to learn simple stuff - gotta root n ROM to make this dog usable!

And how are prior poor experiences with a Nexus 5 actually relevant to the Nexus 6? Different manufacturers, different price points...

Please...my wife loves her Nexus 6, curved back and all. And I say, it's not perfect, but it is the best phone I've ever used.

Take my review however you want.

Yes. I missed a very obvious setting chrome for tabs. I missed other simple stuff because I didn't take "the time to learn simple stuff" Thats now taken care of. Two finger swipe? Gee that fixes the other issues I have. The LED notifications, the texting.

But you know what? The device does work out of the box. The device does have issues that I can ignore and still get use out of the phone. Even you said the device is imperfect and your wife loves it. Well, I am not you or her. Maybe I am chasing perfection. Maybe I do just have the need to tweak things.

I didn't mean to be harsh. And I can appreciate the time and effort spent on the review. I just felt that, in a nutshell, you were too quick to assume problems or start tweaking to fix things instead of learning existing simple tricks or solutions that make the phone work. Like the Chrome tabs example or for texts using Messaging instead of friggin' Hangouts (which is a Hangouts issue anyway, not Nexus 6 or Lollipop). You even said yourself that maybe you were at fault for tinkering with the device.

But like lunatic59 said, you're a tweaker and I get that. And like he also correctly said, that's part of what the Nexus line is about. So by all means - tweak away!

As with almost all reviews, there's a lot of stuff that's just a matter of preference or perception. For example, my wife really likes the ambient display notifications and would withhold sex if I disabled them and switched to LED notifications. She likes the rounded shape of the back in her hand or pocket. I appreciate the screen and overall speed and smoothness. Certainly haven't noticed any slowness for apps to load like you mentioned - it's quick! Just the best phone I've ever used.

Sometimes ya just gotta agree to disagree on some things.

Thank God you didn't mention the IR blaster (Gimmick??). This forum is a joke. You miss an adjustment here and there and you have no credibility! If you weren't spending so much time getting the phone to work as expected (low call volume, static on initial speaker phone use, finicky touch screen response, and on and on and on).You might have not missed those settings. This is not a great phone. Simple as that.

In fact look how small the boards are covering this phone (N6, 3 pages, Note 4, 24 pages! 8x!!) (please don't claim there all problem pages). Lots of hype, no supply, crowd has moved on.

What I have learned since Rooting. Viper Audio for Android almost bricked my phone. Black screen, reboots etc. Installed it correctly. Uninstalled, back to normal. Light flow works fine and you will LOVE it! It's funny if you get a voicemail, a text and a missed call and have each with a different color alert. They flash one color after the other. Kind of funny. Again Double Tap app is a great.

Also I never brought it up but Ajdriodx did. Why can't you hold the WiFi icon and get menu etc. like before. Hate that!

Ajdriodx you emulated many of my feelings and mentioned things I had not even bothered to bring up. This phone is a huge disappointment to me. It was fun to be a Nexus user in the past because you were getting new features and functions and a tweak here or there was fun. Adding basic functions is not fun. And the time between software updates for bugs is to long. Moan all you want people but I liked Touch Wiz. While I'm at it Ajdriodx you are so right, Lollipop is cartoonish and should be a theme not a platform.

As I said previously rooting this phone made it SOOOOOO much better. Every time I look at this forum it gets funnier as people try to defend this brick.

Lastly since I have a remote I guess I can do with out the IR blaster. But since I don't have a wife I don't have anybody in the house to like this phone. :(

@Fun Human I don't have this phone so I can speak objectively.

Just because some things don't work out for you, that others don't care about, or others think that they can help with, is no reason for you get all high horsey and make fun of the forum or the people in it.

Not you, not me, not anyone has a lead pipe cinch on the absolute truth no matter how strongly we feel it.

We only know the truth about our personal experiences.

And yours with this phone didn't work out.

This forum is not a joke, you're free to call the phone the great rat of Sumatra and post a video of you destroying it while screaming for everyone to not buy one.

That's a free opinion and you wouldn't be censored.

But you trying to censor people through shame or make personal fun of - that's just not polite.

We wouldn't tolerate anyone doing it to you, so you go ahead and man up (or woman up, I don't care what you are) and treat people with the common courtesy that is due everyone here.

Thanks! :)

Here's a novel idea. A review should be a review, not complaining about functions or features that were never a part of a device. I said something like this earlier, it was harsh, directed and it was therefore "edited" by the mods and I apologize for it's tone.

This will be more general in nature and I hope it will pass inspection.
If you review a phone it should be your impressions and opinions about the device, it's hardware, software and build quality. Not complaining about lack of IR blaster or LED or not liking the software version. It was a well known quantity when it was released for sale, we all knew what we were getting into when we bought it. If you wanted an "S-pen" or IR or LED, why buy this phone? If you didn't want Lollipop, why get this phone? If you prefer touchwiz or another OEM overlay why get this phone? If you want a 5 inch or smaller screen why buy this phone?

Now if you got it and say it lags ... hate on it.
If you got it and it feels cheaply made to you, hammer it.
Poor call quality? Bash it.
Expanding battery? WHAT A P.O.S.!!!
Slick surfaces that make it hard to hold? POOR DESIGN!

I get all that. I support all that, it's relevant, it helps people decide if they want to make the jump. That should be the essence of a review, you are helping someone else make a decision by sharing your experiences.

Anyway, I think this thread has at times "escalated quickly" into just random instances of stating the obvious and in some way trying to make that negative. In my opinion it's a fine device. It's what I wanted, I knew the specs, I went and held it in my hands, ran it through the paces and then decided to buy it based on what it did, knowing full well what it didn't.

I 100% agree it is not for everyone, my wife did not like it and she got a note edge. She loves it. I think it's a novel device. See everyone can like their own thing. It's "MERICA" we all have that right.

:D

Now see that's not fair either.

If someone thinks that xyz ought to have been included in the price, and it's disappointing, that's a fair criticism and they ought to be able to express that opinion without being called to task over it.

Professional reviewers do it all the time.

You don't have to like someone's opinion if it's different from yours, but it ain't bad to like that they had the courage to speak their mind. I put a like on lots of posts I disagree with because they make me think.

If missing xyz makes the phone no good for someone, then that's the truth.

Their truth.

And that's fair enough. :)

OK, I'm not saying that you all can't disagree with each others opinions.

But you can't say that they can't express them unless they fit certain parameters. Let a mod do that, the site rules are the only parameters.

Just attack ideas, not the person with the idea, if you have to attack anything.

That's what I'm trying to say ok. :)

After reading ajdroidx's response to my response to his review, I went back and read what I'd written. And while I stand by the point I was making, it struck me that I could have made it a little more...uhhmmm...gently.

So, to express things in a manner more like I should have, and because I really do appreciate the effort he put into writing up the review despite disagreeing with a lot of it, I wrote another reply.

Now, let's all keep our heads on straight and try to decide if the Nexus 6 is trash or treasure.

EarlyMon, I got nothing but love for you. You are a great contributor/moderator. 9 out of 10 times I am firmly in your corner and feel you're spot on with your comments, direction and assistance. (No I am NOT kissing butt here)

That said, I do think it's silly to say ...I hate this car's 4 cyl engine it performs like a 4 cyl! When it was only offered with a 4 cyl engine. (There's lots of cars with 6 and 8 cyl engines out there right?) And this is the same thing in my eyes. It's easily the golden age of cellular devices, there is about a 4 month cycle right now where you will be introduced to a new set of devices and a new set of devices is released. There are literally 100's of choices on any given day. If you require certain options you really must make your decisions based on those requirements, not complain about the things you could have gotten easily elsewhere. I respect your point, I see what you're saying, and I 100% agree that we all get an opinion and none is more or less valid than anyone else's. I suppose it's my pet peeve, my issue so I should shut my trap. But I was hoping to keep the thread more productive by giving people something they can't get by looking at a spec sheet or product info card. Real life experiences and feedback based on performance.
Many apologies sir.

Ever buy something knowing exactly what it had but find after living with it you wish you made a different choice?

Is that being silly or being wiser after the experience?

Or what if you just assumed a feature that everyone else has so you didn't check it first?

Silly or disappointing lesson hard-earned?

Worthwhile warnings to others or just no good?

You be the judge.

I just think that some questions are very interesting. ;) :)

Here's the difference.

Okay:

"It is stupid to pay $650 for a phone and not have an IR blaster."
"That doesn't really tell me what I want to know."

Not okay:

"You are stupid for paying $650 for a phone without an IR blaster."
"Don't post anything unless it's what I want to know."

How many times have we seen things advertised "Works with Android or iPhone" only to find out that the feature set between platforms is different. The assumption is that both would get everything, so yeah, i'm okay with calling that bogus. But let's not beat dead horses over it, the horse deserved better.

Finally some thoughts...THIS IS GOING TO BE LONG!!<snip> via xposed

Forgive me, but I am going to lay most of the blame for your problems on xposed. Lolipop is too new for everything xposed to catch up; it is trying to get there, but I honestly feel that trying to use xposed has caused most of your dissatisfaction with this device.

So after having my N6 for 7 months, I am almost to the breaking point. I have given this phone the benefit of the doubt time and time again. My list of issues is, but not limited to....

Force Closing.
Random Reboots.
Random power shut downs.
Won't always receive texts from iphone users.
WILL SOMETIMES receive texts from iphone users, but hours later.
Still haven't gotten 5.1.1 and it's been 3 weeks.
Backing out of apps opens old apps. repeat. a million times.

I'm stock. T-Mobile. Unrooted. I've been waiting on WIFI calling because I have almost zero signal in my Apt. I've never had to wait over 2 weeks for an OS update on this phone or my N5 until now. Hoping my issues were a software problem, I factory reset my old N6, even got a new N6 and new sim card. All with absolutley NO resolve. Besides the screen, this phone is a piece of shit. And it still blows my mind that I can't take a video, pause it, and start back where I left off.

If I do get rid of it, I will be belly up at T-Mobile in payments. Not even sure what I would get.
