i don't know why but i keep just loosing service.

update: my apns are all gone... idk why or how. i checked to see if i had service by going to change apn and it says "Access Point Name settings are not available for this user" I don'y have 3g/lte/1x nor can i call or text.. please help me guys
This sounds similar to what happened to me. That's exactly what ChangeAPN said when I opened it. I was only getting 1x so I reverted to my backup and LTE was gone completely and service keeps dropping out. I restored the TOT file with the LG flash tool and the problem still persists. I'm stumped and about to buy a new phone.

Could the drop in signal be related to location triangulation? I turned off high accuracy location and my signal has been pretty steady since then.

My theory is that it pings the towers every 90 seconds, cycling through the frequencies...? Just a shot in the dark because I don't know how that all works.

Might be. I was losing signal too, might be my fault for removing the http from the xtra servers.

Try adding http in front and /extra.bin at the end.

Example: http://xtra1.gpsonxtra.net/xtra2.bin

Instead of
xtra1.gpsonxtra.net xtra2.bin

@badmofo, sorry I think we should change the xtra servers back to full address.

Tried to PM you this:

Not sure why, but it works better with http in front of xtra servers but not with NTP servers. I also put WIPER back in and the LGE TLS setting.

Again, don't ask me why, but I had better performance when I took the hashtag off of c2k and put a '0' there. Got it from the GPS.conf file of an LG optimus f3 I had laying around.

XTRA_SERVER_1=http://xtra1.gpsonext
ra.net/xtra2.bin
XTRA_SERVER_2=http://xtra2.gpsonextra.net/xtra2.bin
XTRA_SERVER_3=http://xtra3.gpsonextra.net/xtra2.bin

So, I tried screen pinning and failed to unpin it. It turns out you can't hold the overview and back buttons simultaneously. So, to my liking, I added the on screen action bar, disabled the capacitive back and menu buttons, and turned their backlight off. I left the home button on and active though. Seems legit now!

Oh, I may be a bit persistent, but where's our data toggle?

How did you get the navigation bar to show up?
