Help Car dock isn't turning on GPS or starting Dailyroads Voyager

I just got the car dock yesterday, so I haven't had much time to fiddle with it. Docking the phone does initiate car mode, so I know it's locked in right, but after a few tries, Dailyroads Voyager stopped launching. I think I have the settings all correct in DV, I have :
Detect car dock
start in background
exit when charger is disconnected after 5 seconds
pause when charger is disconnected immediately
resume automatically

Also, I see some people say that GPS is supposed to start automatically when the phone is docked, but when I go to navigate, it says my GPS is disabled and I have to enable it manually.

I quit using the in app option to launch in the car dock and set it up through tasker. I just got a new phone so I can't look through my settings to see how I set it up, but there are a set of commands that work in tasker to launch the app. If I remember correctly, I do believe that Dailyroads was able to quit the app when I took the phone out of the dock, but I may have just set that up on Tasker too, I really can't remember. I can tell you though, that it did work for me for two years like with Tasker until I got my new phone last week. Haven't even installed Dailyroads on my new phone yet, hopefully it works better without using this workaround.

My wife still has a Thunderbolt, I just checked to see if I set it up on her phone to verify the settings for you, but I guess I never set it up for her. Can't really convince her to dock her phone when she drives anyway, luckily she doesn't have to drive much. :)

Get Tasker if you don't have it, it's really pretty handy for other things too anyway. If you have any more questions, let me know and I'll try to help if I can.
