On Samsung Galaxy Note 3, open the stock app, My Files.

Then select some file, click Menu button, select Rename from the menu.
In Rename window, there is only main part of file name without extension part.
So that we have no way to rename extension of file name.

Is there any way to rename full name of a file with the stock My Files app?

    Thank you in advance.

There doesn't appear to be a way of changing the extension with the stock apps, and I imagine Samsung designed it that way to prevent users from accidentally rendering a file unusable (among other things).

However, that doesn't mean there isn't a solution. ES File Explorer (for example) does allow a user to change the extension, and is available for free from the Play Store. I would imagine that other file explorers available in the Play store would also behave more like ES, and allow the WHOLE file name to be changed.

    Thanks.
I will try some apps such as ES File Explorer. But yesterday I finially changed the extension from my notebook while my Samsung Note 4 was connected as an USB storage.
