Root Root. Advantages? How?

Rooting is like Iphone's jail breaking...the advantages? This one should be more than enough: SGA has only 178 MB of internal storage, but via rooting, you can move ALL apps to SD card, unlike the default move to SD option already provided by your phone because that method still leaves part of your app in the phone. I have 117 apps installed in my SGA,but I still have 138 MB of free space left...problem?:p

I'm trying to do the root with SuperOneClick, however it doesn't move after "Rooting device... - Step #7".

This is the tutorial i'm following:
1. Go here and download SuperOneClick: SuperOneClickv2.3.1-ShortFuse.zip (I uploaded it to mediafire for faster download)

2. After you have downloaded it extract it to your desktop. Or somewhere you easily find it. I have it on my desktop.

3. Now we have it on our desktop. Now put your phone to USB debugging mode. Settings --> Applications --> Development --> USB debugging

4. Now make sure you DO NOT mount your SD card. Just in case if you have SD card, unmount it and take it out.

5. Now we are ready to start SuperOneClick.

6. Now we have SuperOneClick open.

7. Now plug your phone to your computer.

8. Then just click root.

9. It takes a while, just be patient.

10. When it's done you should get this:

11. Click no for root test.

12. Now reboot your phone if it didn't reboot automatically.

13. When you have rebooted it, download root checker from Google Play.

14. Now run it and click Verify Root Access. It should Superuser permissions, click Allow.

15. Now it should say: Congratulations! This device has root access!

16. Now you phone should be rooted successfully! Congratulations!!

So, can anyone help me?

Thanks!

Why are you going with the superone click method, there is a simpler method available.Assuming you bought a new phone and not second hand so that you are running GB and not froyo.
Use the zip file method, just download the file onto your sd card, enter phone into recovery mode and click on update.zip and you are rooted. Simple.

I am advising this because i used this method and i found it quite simple. No pc connectivity hassles at all.
