here are some amazing numbers on just how hot this line has been for the LA Kings (in case you do not know, the line consists of tyler toffoli, jeff carter, and tanner peasron):

Tanner Pearson leads the team in goals (7 goals) and the league (in the rookie category)
The line of Carter, Pearson and Toffoli tallied 10 points (4-6=10) tonight. In the last seven games, they have combined for 33 points (16-17=33) and a plus-32 rating, having been even-or-better in every game this season.
Carter, Pearson, and Toffoli are the only team members besides Kopitar that has more then 2 goals thus far.
no other line has more points on the team then That 70's Line

after a crapping start,we are starting to round out our game. it sucks as it seems we keep getting hurt. Kopitar had to leave in the second period. Gaborik and TRevor Lewis are still out......not to mention Slava Voynov is suspended indefinitely by the NHL.

.......i just wish that Anaheim will start loosing.........LOL

Another Canuck player, Bieksa, got hit in the eye with the puck the other day. It happened a few years ago to Malholtra. Malholtra was shut down for a while and he ended up making a come back last year. Bieksa's injury doesn't seem to be as serious. He's back skating this morning now with a visor. No word on whether or not he will play tonight. Hopefully, he can make a full recovery. His vision has improved since his injury.

In my early days of playing rec hockey (roller and ice), I have had a few close calls to my eyes. I have been fortunate that I had not suffered an eye injury and those close calls were enough to make me wise up and wear eye protection ever since. I wear a half cage when playing roller hockey (when using a hockey ball) and a full cage for ice hockey or roller hockey with a puck. I've had a number of pucks and sticks hit me in the face since and the cage has saved me from injury.

Ironically, I broke my wrist when I raised my arms to protect my face from being hit by a puck a few years ago. The puck struck me in the wrist just under the cuff of my gloves. Had my reflexes not been so good, the puck would have bounced off my cage and I would have avoided injury.

New players are now required to wear visors. The rule does not apply to experienced players which is why Bieksa and a number of others can choose not to wear one. I can't imagine not wearing facial protection with pucks and sticks flying around at much lower speeds than in the NHL. I understand that wearing facial protection is an adjustment. I felt it was well worth it to prevent potential eye injuries.

hey guys,
it has been too long and i'm sorry for not posting something during the regular season. but man my Kings are were so hot and cold this year.

it is weird to have both the Kings and the bruins not make the playoffs this year........what happened??????????

to those of you who still have teams make it in.....good luck.

so who do you think of the groups in will make it to the Cup this year?
my guess would be the rangers and the hawks.

i do not want to see the ducks go nor really the hawks. i think the wild and the penguins are the wild card.

still not sure how closely i will watch the post season, since my Kings are not in it.....lol

I can't see anyone stopping the Ducks. After Kesler demanded to go to the Ducks, I thought they were so stacked. I thought goaltending may be their only vulnerability, but it's been solid so far.

Chicago got a big boost with Kane returning from injury. I don't think they can get past the Ducks. I would prefer to see Chicago and Tampa in the finals as I think it would be the most fun to watch.

In the east, I like all remaining teams other than the Habs. Tampa is exciting. I like the coaches for both the Rangers and the Caps.

The western final series is one of the best playoff series I have ever seen. Not only where there goals, there were very pretty goals.

I got the dream match up for the Stanley Cup Finals. Expectations are high for what could be the best finals in a long time. Both teams can score.

Even though I hate the ducks, I kind of wanted the Rangers vs ducks. My friend is a ranger fan, would have been fun to go to the pond and boo the ducks........lol

Oh well..........gonna have to root for the bolts to win.......I hate the hawks.

This is the closest Stanley Cup final in history. Never has any final series gone 5 games without any team having a lead of more than 1 goal. Every game winner was scored in the third period so far.

ok resurrecting my old thread now that its the Cup playoffs. i'm really surprised that the bolts lost to blue jackets in straight games. they were so dominant throughout this season. i'm kind of rooting for them now.

my guess for the Cup final four will be between the Winnepeg Jets vs the Vegas Golden Knights and in the east Washington Caps vs Tornto Mapleleafs. my final out of those 4 would be Knights vs Leafs with the Leafs winning it.

now i know my kings are not in it this year. they were terrible and don't deserve to be in the playoffs.

ok so i'm surprised that toronto lost to the boston. but i'm glad in a way because the kings traded jake muzzin for their 1st round pick. we are almost guaranteed a late round draft pick around 20th or so. not the the nhl draft is anything like the nfl or nba. high or low draft picks usually have very little in pack right away. but we do need to add more talent in our pipeline.

im also surprised that the knights did not make it through as well. i'm still rooting for the jackets

yep.......ohio has a hockey team.

they are good for once. they were an expansion team in the early 2000's. never made it to the playoffs, until this year. (i could be wrong)
