Root [ROM][RC][4.4.4] CyanogenMod 11 12/3/2014

Using this ROM I am having a problem with Google Voice.

When making an outbound call, the number that I see in the dialer (and phone logs) is some intermediate GV number, not the destination number. This makes the call log useless.

It was apparently a known issue in CM11, but has been fixed. Any way to get the fix into my Awe?

(Also, where did the "search this thread" tool go?)

is it a kk ROM?
Yes, I'm recompiling CyanogenMod nightly based on the Boost Max kernel and pieces of PhenomX4's warplte device tree mixed into the Awe tree. Once fully working I'll also put together a new AWEstruck to go with it and the warplte.

Camera is taking longer than I want, so if anyone wants to test a build sans camera (and I don't know if GPS is not working or just very slow to lock) please let me know.

I'm interested in this if you're successful in getting everything to work, getting bored with what I've got. Good luck

Spock, a humble request. Please consider making a (goodbye/last) basic no-frills no-cell-radio version also. As people move on from these phones and excellent ROMs, many of us are repurposing them as low powered devices (internet radios, media players, security cameras, cameras for kids, etc). Its great to give these devices a second life especially because they use very little power. Thanks for the consideration.

If I can figure that out, absolutely. Until then, if you turn off wifi, enable airplane mode, and then enable wifi, you'll get connectivity while leaving the radio off. or you can use the *#*#4636#*#* menu to turn off the radio.

It works on Optimus Elite and Optimus V, by my recollection. I'm not sure if it's universal, however.
Thank you Sir! I did not know about the menu button. Is that number sequence specific to the ZTE or will it work on other phones as well? I have a couple of Elites that I've set up in this manner (airplane mode, etc).

Hi saidiadude,
That sounds like a great way to repurpose the old device. I can't recall if the setting is retained following reboot. I will check on that. Feel free to drop me a PM if I'm taking too long.
Thanks for the quick reply Jamoosh. If the phone is rebooted, does the radio stay off? I'm converting one of the older Elites or the V into a camera for very small kids and am trying to turn off everything related to the radio (perhaps even the wifi). Sorry about going off-topic here.

Hi, I just tested this on my Optimus Elite, which is running Cyanogenmod 9-20131003-UNOFFICIAL (by PhenomX4), Kernel version 2.6.65.11, Android 4.0.4. I can confirm that the radio setting is not retained on reboot on this particular device and configuration. I can't speak for other devices, firmwares and operating system, but would bet that this is the way the system menu setting works universally. Additionally, I'm not sure where my V is at the moment, so I cannot test it.

Perhaps there is a means of making these settings persistent.

As mentioned, first enabling airplane mode, then turning on WiFi seems to accomplish the same task.
