Not sure if this forum is still active since the phone is quite old now.
I was given this one last week and intend using it with a "Free SIM" I've been offered by TalkTalk (my landline and ISP ).
I was quite surprised how nippy this little phone is.
When I received it, it had evidently been wiped of all traces of previous ownership and so I downloaded the "Gmail App" to access my account and that went fine...Next I downloaded the "OneDrive App", and then it happened.....Critically low memory message!
The phone is still just as quick, but it told me I needed to delete some apps to make space, and proceeded to list Onedrive which I think took up about 4MB, so wasn't really a problem so I left that one, next it offered another app which I foolishly cannot remember, but it was something to do with "Google Play" and took up a massive 34MB...I selected it for deletion and was told that if I deleted it, I would still be able to use the basics of "Play"!
I've no idea what I've done here and would like to re-instate what ever it was I deleted and try a different approach.
Can any one understand what I've done and help me?

I have one of these phones for a second phone.
I found the best thing to do with it was partition the sd card & root it.
I now run a custom rom & have almost 2gb of free space after i have installed apps.

The full instructions on how to do this can be found here
Thanks anoniemouse, looks scary!
I've never tried to hack my phones and have no idea what most of the terms mentioned in your helpful link mean!
I would like to try it, but not without experienced help at hand to instruct me!...(maybe a 10 or 12 year old!)

At the moment, I have absolutely no additional Apps loaded, I have bookmarked pages for Onedrive, a few of my email accounts and youtube and I reject any pleas from the phone to "Update Hangouts" or other dross which I don't need or want!

If I could somehow "Save" or otherwise back up the current incarnation of the phone so that it would not be possible to lose it completely if my attempt at Rooting it went disastrously wrong, then I would be tempted to try, but the chance (probability in my case) of bricking what is still a reasonably useable phone puts me off!
