My Droid Razr M suffered a damaging fall a couple weeks ago. The screen is shatterd, the back shell piece is slightly warped and there are gaps where the front and back shell pieces would normally fit together. Remarkably, the phone itself appears to still be "alive". The screen doesn't illuminate, but the phone makes the usual blip sounds when I toggle the volume rocker. The blinking red light comes on when the battery gets low and the phone will recharge the battery.
I can browse folders and files as usual when I connect it to my computer.
My question: Is there a way to recover my Contacts?
The person at the Verizon store who did initial setup of my new iPhone 6 said it was not possible. He said it's necessary to do <some step that I don't remember> via the screen, to access the Contacts.
My Contact list is mostly restored via Verizon backup, but I suspect I had some not-yet-backed up entries that I can't remember now.
I'm hoping folks here can either confirm or refute what the person at Verizon told me.
Is is possible to recover the Contacts library on the phone through a computer?
Thanks!
