Root Let's Get CM Onto Avant!

Use pdanet for windows USB only and you will have to install the exe you can get from the app. Then you will have to go into settings on the little icon on your computer from your task bar and hide tether usage level 1

So, If I flash the Tether zip, I would have Unlimited Tethering? The built in Mobile Hotspot Will be unlimited? And I won't have to use The User agent switcher?

the Tether zip makes it so you can turn hotspot on your phone with out a screen popping up on the phone saying you need a hotspot plan. It does not give you tethering get WIFI Tether Router it's cheap then you need to download fiddler on your laptop. A few more steps but I'll try to find some links if you want.... this is just my experience

So, I downloaded the CM11 ROM. I plan on flashing tonight. But how many people here have a tethering plan (as a backup)... and see their data creeping along?

I only ask, because I just had to switch back to a backup I did in late March to get everything working again where my tether usage wasn't moving.
I recently found out that my tethering usage does count toward my tethering plan (100mb lol) but only when I tether to a windows computer. If I tether to any android tablet it never counts. It must have something to do with not being able to differentiate between data usage from 2 android devices, so they both just go under the phone's usage instead as 2 separate devices.

There's really no need to use PDANet if you have a USB port on your router, and it has OpenWRT support. Tether to that, it reads it just like it would any other Linux-based OS.

Just flash the OpenWRT firmware to the router using the instructions... PAY ATTENTION (lol... I soft-bricked mine the first 2 attempts like a BOSS)
