Root Unofficial CyanogenMod 12.1 for LG L70 D320 D320n D325 MS323

I bet we could mod the boot.img and make it so the volume up button reboots into recovery. I say that all the time.
Actually, I think he used fastboot to boot into recovery (since Realm's bootloader is unlocked)

with fastboot boot (putrecoveryhere).img

but you should do that boot.img first incase things go down the drain real quick.

I don't think there is fastboot on the LG Ultimate 2 because I have tried many times to get into fastboot. I will look a bit harder.

Hey guys, i'm new to the forum and i flashed this ROM on my l70 ms323 METROPCS like 4-5 days ago. I did every right and the ROM is working "perfectly" fine. I'm having some problems though: 1) i cannot install updates with cmupdates, i can just download the zip file and nothing else; i tried going into recovery mode and install it from there, but it does not appear as zip (i renamed it to .zip right now, I'll update the post if it works). 2) i cannot open "security" in settings, it closes and says "unfortunately, settings has stopped." 3) i cannot install apks which makes me think i'm not even running android. I cannot turn on the function that allows me to install things that are not from google play since every time i try to turn it on it closes. 4) Every time i try to uninstall something my phone reboots and the app is not uninstalled; i have to move it to my sd card and then uninstall it, my phone still reboots for some reason. 5) My battery drains in no time; i charge my phone every night and in the afternoon now, I also turned off location and I lower my brightness several times. I would love to receive some help from you guys, thanks in advance!

I shall try that. It did not work on the LG Ultimate 2. Any other ideas @elisam98 or was I doing it wrong.

It may not work for all phone variants. I have a LG Optimus Exceed 2 (VZW's w5c variant) and it won't boot into recovery.
But just to verify, I started with my phone off. Then i pressed and held the volume down button and then pressed and held the power button until the Realm booted into recovery

It does not work for the LG Ultimate 2. Could you upload a system dump so I could see if any of the files could be used to boot into recovery? I might just use the realm system folder and my boot.img and updater script.

Unfortunately, I don't think it works that way. :(
The way I understand it, the button combo is either hardwired into the device, or it doesn't exist.

Well I know for sure we can mod the boot.img to get it to make the volume up key the recovery key. They have done it on the LG Optimus Fuel so I am sure we can do it here.

For all ms323 users who cannot manually install apks because they can't open security to tick "unknown sources", try installing via adb. Copy desired apk to where your adb is and then type, for example:

adb install redtube.apk

That should do it :D
I will make a batch file for that. Expect it in the next 45 minutes.

Does anyone know what else could cause the hardware keys to not work properly? I'm posivite i've flashed the right aboot.bin for the D320N variant . The back key works but the menu key acts like the home key and the home key does nothing :/
To fix this just enable the soft keys by downloading soft key enabler.
