Help Battery full notification driving me insane

Im having this issue also with my s3.
On the first i got it and i charged it during the night and it also drove me insane by beeping from time to time, always waking me up. It would do that from 10 to 10 minutes.
Now, even after i flashed the stock rom again, its still doing it but not as frequently as before(at least until now), but it still happens and its annoying.
I have tried installing the apps to turn off the battery notifications and even after that i still got the beep.

And as im writing this, it just made the "beep" again but at least im up now so i can just turn it off but i don't want to be waken by this during my sleep.

Anyways, has anyone found a solution for this yet? It seems to afect only some users. Could it be a hardware issue?

I have a slightly different problem but was hoping I could get some direction in this thread.

I turn my phone off every night. The LED is very bright and I would like to turn it off when the phone is off and charging. I see the ability is there to turn off the LED when battery is charging, but it looks like that only works when the phone is on. Anyone know of a fix for this?

That setting 'should' turn off the red charging light even when the screen is off. All i can suggest is try the Light Flow app, check the box for notification while charging (in the app) and uncheck light

I appreciate your help. The setting doesn't turn it off when the phone is off.

I looked into the light flow app, but the first thing I noticed was the developer explaining that they were working on the issues with Samsung phones (pointing blame to Samsung). This phone is working flawlessly at the moment and don't think I will download that app until they have the issue resolved.

Any other suggestions?

Bump.

Anyone have any suggestions for this?

I turn my phone off every night when I put it on charge. Once fully charged it turns itself back on and gives a notifcation whilst turning the screen on, usually in the early hours of the morning. It only started this a few days ago.My wife's phone seems to behave itself though. Anyone else has a phone that turns itself on?

I had the same problem and today I found what was causing my problem. It just started yesterday, 2 weeks after I got the phone - had no issue before yesterday. And the ONLY thing that was different is that I started using a generic AC charger that arrived yesterday. When I suspected it was the charger this morning, I switched back to the white Samsung charger that came with the phone - and when the battery was fully charged, there was no 'beep', just a notice on the notification list. Screen did not light up. So I suspect that the generic charger I had just received was overcharging the battery, and the phone must be designed not only to do an audible alert, but to keep repeating that audible and screen-on alert until the phone is unplugged. I have the phone charging on the white cable/plug that came with it, and I have a spare for travel. That's the charger I used up until yesterday - and never had a problem. So I think this resolved my problem with the Battery Full alert - and I will update again if it turns out that my problem is not fixed.

Hey you guys wanna know how to avoid that screen from turning on? When you plug your phone it before you go to bed, put it with the screen facing DOWN, that way you get the most sound of your speaker, and you don't see the screen light up! Also, it doesn't hurt to turn it down all the way before you go to bed any way :)
The only problem with this solution is the possibility of screen burn-in.

The screen staying on for hours.

The lock screen doesn't stay on for more than 30 or so seconds when idle, and even if it does manage to unlock itself the max amount of time the screen stays on for without closing is 10 minutes, and that's just optional, don't see how it could happen whilst it's charging and the phone is on all night.

The issue they had is screen STAYING on after reaching full charge.

On an AMOLED, screen burn in is a permanent deterioration where the burned pattern is visible during actual use, not theoretically or doing nothing in the dark.

I don't know what a battery doctor wallpaper is but if it's part of the Battery Doctor app, uninstall it yesterday if you can. Bad stuff.

Oh, yeah it's really bad on mine but I only noticed it when the screen is black mainly.

So apps like battery doctor and clean master are just mumbo jumbo?

Battery doctor always made it so my phone charged rediculously faster, and optimized the battery life too.

And clean master... it pretended to do stuff.

I posted this in another forum, but it bears repeating here as well:

a lot of people are incredibly dismissive of this complaint: everything from "just don't charge it" to "leave it off" or "turn it face down". I use my phone for an alarm clock on vibrate - the reason is it works for me. I also use my phone for work, so I need to charge it at night. Now I get woken up to the vibration around 3am every night. Turning off vibration for notifications also turns off the alarm.

Pre-update the vibration didn't happen, just the screen came on. I find this unreasonable that an upgrade broke the way I choose to use my phone - any change of this nature should include an option to behave the old way, unless there is a viable security concern.

I had the same "battery notification" problem on my Alcatel Android 6.0.1, I went into "settings" then "apps" click the 3 dots and "show system apps" go down to "SystemUI" open it select select "app notifications" and turn on "Treat as a Priority" when the phone is locked it makes no noise. turn off peeking so it does not turn on screen. If the phone is unlocked it is as annoying as ever but works for bedtime and effects no other notifications.
