Root CM12.1 Unofficial Beta

What's the problem you guys are having? I get perfect LTE on VM using that patch in the OP..
Oh yeah, and I still have the ZV3 radio oops
but it should be working in general.
I'm trying a clean flash right now to see if that helps. I think I've screwed around with it too much, so hopefully a fresh installation will make things go smoother.

EDIT: Nope...

I wiped everything out completely. No data whatsoever on SD card (except files to flash) and wiped all data, cashe, dalvik, etc from internal; then rebooted back into recovery. (Lollipop TWRP, rebooted without installing SuperSU) Once that was complete, I did the following BEFORE booting to System.... Flash 12.1 Unofficial, flash Gapps (TK Gapps - Google Stock Package), then the Boost Mobile APN fix. Booted to System, went through setup, and it's a heck of a lot faster and popped right up with LTE. (It still showed No SIM for a few moments, but proceeded to work thereafter.) Not sure what's up with the No SIM part on boot, did that before. But it's running smoothly now.

netflix unfortunately not working, and i think the above is part of it. its something with the h264 decoder not working, most likely a stagefright plugin configured incorrectly. this is whats causing youtube to not play in 480 also, and is affecting the cm11 caf rom too.

as to what to do to fix it? still scratching my head lol. but awesome work, this rom has really come a long way from where it started. it feels pretty polished to me.

Any updates on this? Looking at it, I have some ideas. I'll start comparing the code with stock over the next few days and start working backwards. (Although I'm not great with thinking forward, I've always been a wizard of reverse engineering. Might take some time between work and whatnot, but video doesn't work on a lot of apps, which is no bueno.)

The Volt is a Tri-Band Lte phone and if I'm correct the APN fix is more of a general APN correction. Also for people who are still having LTE/data connection issues even after a clean flash make sure you re-enabled root in the developer options menu. Android doesn't like APN changes occurring manually through third party apps & I noticed my data didn't show up until I re-enabled root and then trying to change the apn from the menu.

Also I believe if you do a clean flash you still need to do the APN fix because the rom includes too many APN's and the phone sets itself up on the first boot based on which APNs still remain. My first clean flash of the latest version my phone was pretty sure it wanted to be a virgin mobile device(no clue why) so I had to flash the fix anyways.

Plz fix with next update the Fm radio shows as on with the station but no audio also Pandora and other steaming apps sometimes work with a restart of the phone so its a audio issue I think but keep up the good work with the great rom
All cell phones with a built-in FM tuner require wired headphones inserted into the 3 mm headphone jack. The headphone wire doubles as an antenna for the radio to work. You do not need to listen to radio through your headphones if there's an option to route the audio through the speaker instead. This has been the case since the old days of the indestructible Nokia brick phones, which I still have mine of course!

OK I already said like 5 times it does not work thanks for not helping me at all and of course it uses headphones I've used like 4 different pairs and other music apps don't work needs fix

Dude relax your not alone the Radio app also doesnt work for me. Pandora, Spotify, Tidal all work for me on the latest build I see above that your having problems with streaming apps also, how did you install this build? The dev recommends a clean flash maybe you should try that if you havent already. BTW relax the Devs have lifes just like me and you.

:specsdroid:Hey guys, sorry for the wait.

Newly compiled CM12 Unofficial Beta for Lg Volt (LS740)
I take no responsibility for any bricks or anything you do or don't do to your device!

Most things work but some things don't. You must remember Cyanogenmod12 is still Beta, and updated constantly. Meaning that something that works in a particular build, may not work in the next.

Still some bugs.... major one being LTE/4g

As Always be sure to have a BACKUP!!!

Not sure what fully works and what doesn't. Feedback welcome.
Thanks to all of our devs for our device. And thanks to our community, you guys are awesome.
ENJOY!:thumbsupdroid:
