Root CM12.1 Unofficial Beta

Ifi flash this will I still have all my data/apps

To increase your chances of the flash working properly, you must do a clean install. Meaning you wipe everything (except SD Card), thus you will lose all your apps and data. You can do a dirty install, where you don't wipe any of the data. But you run the risk of things not working as they should. (Other than the small bugs here and there that exist because this is a BETA.) I would recommend moving your photos to your SD Card, and then doing a clean install. If your apps and data are backed up to Google, they will automatically redownload with the data. Alternatively, you can use an app such as Titanium Backup to backup your app+data manually to the SD Card and resinstall them after the clean install.

Minus LTE and NFC, this ROM works great for me. There is just one other issue I am having, though.

I assume this is because of the CpuSet.apk (from the "deep sleep fix"), but when I get a call the phone seems to take a while to turn on the screen to show me the screen to accept/deny it. Like, the screen stays off while it's ringing, then it turns on and shows the lockscreen, then it eventually shows the call screen, but this takes too much time and I'm afraid the call will timeout and go to voicemail before I have a chance to react. Could this be because it's in "powersave"?

I have the options set so I can press the home button and it'll answer the call.

I hope I am explaining this well enough, it's kind of a weird error.

For some reason, I am unable to change SElinux to permissive mode. I downloaded kernel auditor and the option isn't there and I don't see SElinux mode changer on Google Play.

I was able to change it on blisspop and still wasn't able to get LTE, but I'm on sprint prepaid, and I noticed blisspop only has VM and Boost APN fixes, so I wasn't sure if it would work for sprint so I was going to switch back to this rom.

I was able to get blisspop to recognize that I was on sprint though, but this rom says roaming indicator off.

Also, I don't know much about making roms, but in the past when I had the Samsung Galaxy Victory on Virgin Mobile, and was using a rom from VMroms, LTE wouldn't work as long as the update PRL and Profile options weren't in the rom... not sure if those can be added to these or not, but thought I'd throw that out there

If you have problems with changing the SElinux option just go to this link, download one of the apk's, install it and change it http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/?id=1561#downloads because a while back the Play Store took any app dealing with SElinux away. Good luck!

What exactly does fixing the SElinux do? Because my LTE works just fine. Just switching off WiFi and coming back into cell reception, I have to go into the APN menu and switch it off then back on to the Boost Mobile LTE APN. But that's the only minor nuisance.
Same here on Virgin, but it doesn't last long before it conks out again. Needs a more permanent solution than toggling between APNs.
