Hi sir, I would really apreciate your help. I have a ZTE ZMAX I have twrp installed. I am trying to restore back to stock rom after root. My phone is stuck in Teamwin logo it flases on and off. I need to change the partition mount points to match another phone. There is an existing TWRP for the phone already.
No one has fully rooted this phone yet. I have temp rooted it many times already, and can move/modify/replace the stock recovery.

So you want to use the modified twrp to perm root it?

That is a possibility. Phone's bootloader is locked, so this is about the only option.

No, there is no custom recovery for this phone. That is what I am trying to work on.

I don't mean custom. I mean stock. So I can possibly pull a device tree. I can't buil you twrp without a device tree to put into my ROMs. So explain why you want it to Mount different

As far as I know, there are no factory images for this variant.

So I downloaded the Twrp to my device and it won't let me click reboot recovery and I downloaded it a few times

If you're not sure if you have the latest version then just install the TWRP recovery apk and select the option to install recovery. It won't hurt anything

Hi folks... I'm not having any luck with rebooting to twrp by the button... It's late and I'm kinda stuck. Can't i just hold volume-up + power from a 'powered on' state and wait? Won't that force it?

I wish it had, but it didn't work... Gonna? try all over again.

Edit: It worked, but unfortunately, I forgot_ to delete kingroot and it's other apps before I backed up and now I'm and all that mess, AND when I DID backup, I figured all I REALLY needed to backup was boot and system, so I'm pretty sure I have no options of undoing it. Or hell, maybe I do, due to the fact that if I restore, I'll have a blank data partition... what do you say?
