I have a Choetech Qi Wireless Charging Pad which i bought when I got my Nexus 7 a couple of years ago. I've always found it to work quite well, up until the last couple of days when I've noticed that when I pick up my Nexus after leaving it charging on the charging pad for say, a couple of hours, the back of it feels very hot. Usually even if I leave it on charge overnight it only gets slightly warm, so I'm becoming a bit concerned. Since this only seems to have started over the last few days i was wondering if it's possible this could have anything to do with the very hot/humid weather we've been having this week (by all accounts yesterday - Weds - was probably the hottest day of the year so far in the UK).

Anyone else experienced this problem? Should I be worried?

Try charging with the charging cord and see if it still gets warm. That might give you a clue as to what the problem is.

I've used wireless charging every day for almost 2 years for my Galaxy S3, and my Nexus 7 for the 6 months I've had it. I have 2 Nokia DT-900 chargers. They do get warmer during the summer months but nothing I've been worried about. Never what I would call hot though. But, if it's 85-90 degrees in your house that might be a bit warm to use wireless charging. There are several apps available you can use to monitor and keep track of the battery temperature.
