hi, the OTA lollipop update of my unrooted phone got an issue.. keeps on flashing the samsung logo.. i read that flashing to stock firmware can solve it.. too bad that even I flashed the stocked lollipop firmware, it did not solved the problem.. Now I want to go back to kit kat.. but I dont know the default baseband model .

any default kitkat firmware that i can use? my phone is SM-G900F. Btw, tried a wipe / factory reset as well.. issue is not solved. ..

The firmware you flash for the G900F, (and every other Galaxy S5 model), depends not on the Baseband/modem details but on the phone's CSC, (Customer Software Customisation), code and in some cases, the Product code. See #1.8 of 40 Galaxy S5 models - Dummies Guide for how to obtain your exact, "Version", details and what they mean.

hi, the one i used matched the result. . . but still, after flasing --> wiping data, still issue arises :(

1. What are your phone's exact, original, "Version", details as per my previous post?

2. If you used the CF-Root kernel to root your phone and had SuperSU installed, did you use the SuperSU feature in its settings to unroot prior to flashing?

3. Have you tried a Factory Data Reset?

1. G900FXXU1BOE5
2. phone not rooted
3. several times after the flash.. still same issue :(

Exactly the same firmware I am running and loving it. Best firmware release to-date, IMHO. :)

The latest KitKat, Android 4.4.2, release, prior to the 5 Lollipop updates, for CSC code OXA, (worldwide), and Product code BTU, (United Kingdom), unbranded, is...

Model SM-G900F
Model name GALAXY S5
Country United Kingdom
Version Android 4.4.2
Changelist 2089850
Build date Thu, 03 Jul 2014 05:08:46 +0000
Product code BTU
PDA G900FXXU1ANG2
CSC G900FOXA1ANG3

results above. . .

but still.. the samsung s5 boot loop is not yet solved. .. :(

some details

1. phone can boot if charger is in place.. otherwise, it will keep on boot looping
2. Upon boot.. phone can be navigated.. provided Charger is in place.. if charger is unplugged, either it can still be ok BUT when some apps are opened, it will reboot to boot loop again.. so item 1 must be done

you think so? :( is it really possible to get a hardware issue via a failed software update? :( I might as well sell it.. here in our country, the price for a board change would cost, a samsung E5 already or grand prime series.. :(

The warranty period in the U.K., (as you are on BTU firmware), and Europe is 2 years...
