Help GALAXY S5 IS STUCK IN UNREPAIRABLE BOOT LOOP

Hi all, I have the same problem exactly. Endless boot loop. sometimes leaving the phone for a few hours as turned off, allows me to boot successfully and fully. but any new reboot and it again enters the loop.
Clonier, can you confirm that your phone is now working even after you reboot it?
Also, this happened a week after lollipop update, isn't it something that should be covered by Warranty (phone is 6 month old)?
I gave it to the shop but they already told me that if it is HW, it is not covered by Samsung warranty, is it true?

Hello and welcome to Android Forums Qshadow :)

Sorry to learn you are having problems with your S5 after updating.

In the first instance, you should wipe the cache partition as per #1.3 of S5 Lollipop Update Problems - Dummies Guide to see if that solves your problem. It often does on boot loops.

Failing that, run your phone in Safe Mode for a few hours to see if it persists. See #1.4 of the guide.

If it still happens, then do a Full Wipe + Factory Data Reset as per #2.3, #2.4 and #2.5.

The Samsung warranty is either 12 or 24 months, depending on your country and/or, your particular model of S5 and most definitely covers hardware.

Thanks ironass, I forgot to mention that I tried all this. Factory Reset (twice), burning stock ROM again from download , wipes, etc...
I have SM-G900F.

Everything happens (meaning nothing helps) exactly as mentioned in the 5 pages here...
I just didn't try the last Clonier suggestion, because right now the phone is in the repair store (they are checking if the Importer will agree to fix it by warranty, or if this is HW problem will tell me to get lost). Problem is that I bought it from mobile store, not from official Samsung shop. I need to check if I can address Samsung directly in this case (bypassing the store)...

The Samsung manufacturers warranty is for all Samsung phones, irrespective of where they are purchased. Contact your nearest Samsung Service Point.

DO THIS:
Reflash it using KIES 3
Clear Cache REPEATEDLY or continuously
take the battery out
LEAVE IT FOR A WEEK WITH THE BETTERY OUT.
then go to download/odin mode but press volume down. Basically Restart your phone from download/odin mode

IF this didn't help fully charge it. leave it with the battery in until the all battery is consumed from 100% to 0%.
Hope that helps.
IF it didn't we will work something out.

when you say with KIES.. does it mean I need to download the stock firmware again using kies ? or the ones I used with ODIN will suffice?

I have just talked to Samsung Israel (my country) they told me that Samsung Warranty is not Global, it is per country of purchase. So because my phone was not purchased here but imported by the store from some other country I can only get warranty from that country (I have no idea which, and i do not care).

So, you do have a Samsung warranty for the phone's country of origin. You can determine this by installing Phone INFO ★Samsung★, free from the Play Store, and provided you or the vendor have not flashed your phone with alternative firmware, you can, under CSC CODE, determine your Product Code for the country of origin. Whilst imports can represent good value initially, they can cause problems with warranty or firmware updates if they have been altered for sale in another country. question, does the unit needs to be ON when i connect the cable to KIES 3? or its ok if it's in charging mode(off)

my problem now is that, the phone cannot be booted to OS anymore if the charger is not in place.. and the outlet needs the use of the adaptor (tried using the cable to laptop while charging but the phone does not boot anymore) unless i will use the adaptor.. When i tried to connect while in recovery mode, KIES said that the connected device is not supported. ..

#1.10. Your device's current firmware version is not supported to update firmware via Kies or OTA

Actually my device was never altered because it updates perfectly through OTA.
I will check the CSC CODE, but not sure how knowing that it is eg Poland will help me.
Thanks, for help.

Hi,
Just to let you know that I'm facing very similar issue with my S5 (g900f) and comparing to my previous Samsung phone (s2/i9100) I'm very disappointed.
My current situation is:
- after using the phone for some time in the car (navigation) connected to a car charger it got hot and got stuck. (It happened before a few times but after different combinations with charging and battery removing I managed to get it working again. This time - no way.)
- afterwards, after removing battery and putting it back it went to a bootloop on the Samsung logo screen (with two vibrations)
- DOWNLOAD mode has been available all the time. It tried flashing different stock roms with and without PIT -> always got PASS but never succeeded to achieve full boot. Maximum what I achieved was that booting process started (passed Samsung logo and trying to load OS) but suddenly it rebooted and again got stuck on the same bootloop.
- BOOTLOADER - the newest firmware I tried to flash was "G900FXXU1BOE6_G900FSFR1BOD3_G900FXXU1BOD1_HOME" which comes with BOE6 bootloader.
- RECOVERY mode -> initially it was available and could wipe data/factory reset but I couldn't restore my nandroid backup - it stuck during restoring and went into "Recovery booting ..." bootloop. Ccurrently I can't even boot into recovery at all.
- CHARGING -> when I connect the charger there is no charging animation - just empty battery icon for a few seconds and bootloop again.

I already visited my Samsung service center but they refused to repair the phone because KNOX flag is triggered (0x1). But they even couldn't firmly state if this is really HW problem. They just said that they can replace the main board on my expense (about 75% of the phone current market price).

So I'm stuck and tbh don't know what to do - hopefully it is not HW/main board issue :(

If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

I have an update (kind of), my second phone (Galaxy S4) went in to the same reboot loop as my Galaxy S5 (which is still in the service center).
My Galaxy S4 uses original 4.2 android version, and no recent updates were made.
The ONLY thing that comes to my mind as being common between the two phones is my charger (which is not Samsung original), could it be the charger fault?
Here is similar charger to the one I have
Please share if you use original charger or not.

I am using 3 different Qi wireless charging pads.
1 is sourced thru the USB port on my PC.
1 is sourced thru the original Samsung 2.1 amp power module.
1 is sourced thru a spare USB power block bought off of eBay... maybe 1 amp ?

the charging port on my S5 is toast now.... I can't charge it via the USB port anymore.

Never had a problem like you describe. I remember your earlier thread also.

Last update, i got the Galaxy S5 back from the service center, unbelievably they fixed it by warranty !
They told me that they had to change the motherboard completely.
Hi,

Good for you. In my case they replaced motherboard as well but unfortunately I had to pay 200 Euro as they refused to do a warranty repair. Good thing is that after repair they restored my warranty back to the original.
Now my problem is that I still don't know the reason of the problem which happened to my phone and wondering if I should take a risk and root/customise
