I have an unrooted ZTE WARP 442 and I downloaded a ROM file titled warplte B07 root.zip about 300 mb in size. When I enter recovery mode and try to apply an update from an SD card i get this code.
-- Install /sdcard ...
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E:footer is wrong
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted
So I figured I could root my phone using this method, Im wondering if I need another Rom file with the correct signature or if I need software that could jailbreak it for me without me having to go through recovery and into my SD card. I have a ZTE WARP 442 I think Id have to downgrade to 412 but I have no clue how, this is the method I try and I get the same error message.
