Hey,

Sorry if this is a duplicate, I've done a bit of searching and tried some suggestions.
I have only had this phone for 7 days, i'm not sure if it needs a bit more time to settle in.

Does anyone know how to pinpoint which part of the android system is draining the battery?

I'm not too displeased with the battery life, it's much better than my old nexus 5. It will last from 8am to 11pm, however I've hardly been using it.
But when looking in gsam android system is always the highest drain on my battery, does this look fairly normal to LG G4 users?

I've made a few changed to help the battery:
  1. Location services is set to battery saving
  2. Prevented facebook from having the keep awake permission
  3. Email is set to manually update
  4. No smart settings are being used that could use GPS, I turn everything on and off myself
  5. Screen brightness is usually set between 30% and 40%
  6. My signal is always pretty good, mixture between 3g and 4g
Cheers!

Screebl maybe? Doesn't that consistently poll a sensor to check for the orientation of the phone?

The BBC news and sport apps have had an impact on my battery before, but they'd normally show up under their own entry in the usage chart. You could try turning notifications off for them? In saying that, I have notifications switched on for Aberdeen news and goals and the app appears to be behaving itself.

I just noticed Clean Master on the list.

Aside from the fact that it is pure snake oil, it's also sending your personal info to servers in China. I'd uninstall if I were you. :)

Screebl was disabled so I uninstalled it.
I'll keep an eye on the BBC apps.

Clean master is a remnant of when my nexus 5 was running out of space every week and I'd use it to clear the cache, I turned off the other features.
I can probably uninstall it now.

What sort of drain are you getting over night when you're not using it?

Also, looking at the reviews for Battery Guru, recent versions look to have had a negative impact on battery.

In response to your question though, Android System is a catch all and it could be anything.

Is that messenger app Facebook Messenger? That misbehaves too.

Thanks for the help dude I appreciate it.

I haven't left my phone unplugged overnight, because it's always almost dead before I go to sleep and I need it the following morning.

I installed battery guru this morning and it claims it's just in learning more at the moment, therefore not doing anything.

And yes, that is the Facebook messenger.
