The Galaxy Note 4's Multi Window mode can be set to run in either pop up or splitscreen mode. Enabling either is done through the Settings menu after enabling Multi Window. Quickly do so by following these steps:
- From the Settings menu navigate to "Multi window" under the "Sound and Display" header
- Make sure Multi Window mode is enabled by toggling the feature to on
- Check the box next to "Open in split screen view"
