Hello, I've never used cyanogenmod as I haven't had any device which currently has a build for it. I'm a programmer though and I'm going to try to get CM 12.1 working on the galaxy avant, any help will be appreciated. I currently own a rooted galaxy avant (my only phone). Also i should say I'm new to android forums and I don't know too much about roms and cm but I think I know enough to get it ported over to the avant.

Well for starters you'll have to remove the caf new, because l.p. using only caf then you'll have to fine a sepolicy hacked that works for this devices. 3 nd to tell you truth but it is a little more of a pain in the butt but for l.p. you would be better off porting omni or another aosp base rom because of the caf with cm12. That is just my opinion but to each their own!

I'll be glad to be a tester. I like to see new things come to this phone. Oh, and btw, someone else is also trying to develop CM 12.1 for the avant.

I did not know that someone else was working on cm 12.1 for the avant, I am a game programmer and me & my team are very busy, since someone else is working on it I may not work on it, if I do don't expect it for a while (like I said I'm busy).

The other person's cm12.1 is not fully functional. I would recommend you try and make your own to see how things go.

I am also willing to test . This device has a lot potential. I wish I knew more about programming. I have only dabbled in the very basic and dont have the knowledge. Google can only learn me so much, Lol

I got time and I could help how hard is it to port a rom...I'm a Linux guy so maybe it's easier... It can't be that hard
