and thats where you wrong, you just dont understand what WiMAX is going to do to America. Believe i was shocked today recieving that email from dan. And being shocked over this phone does not happen often but this blew me off my feet

I'll go on record right here - the new iPhone will far outsell the EVO. It won't even be close.

WiMax might very well "change America" - but until it's more widespread its impact will be small. It'll take a couple of years.

I'm sure the impact will be massive - but until coverage is widespread it will be minimal. You think in 7 months they can blanket the US? I sure hope you're right!

True, I certainly believe that Apple will be the winner in units sold against the Evo, but the vibe I get from third party sales reps(I know a few because of my job) is that they have not seen an interest in phone like what they are currently seeing for the Evo. I also am watching the Windows Mobile 6.5 user base over at ppcgeeks and they appear to have a strong interest in jumping to the Evo as well. I'm always careful not to drink the Kool-aid for any one particular product, but the Evo is appearing to have all the earmarks of a legit "game changer" from my bleacher seats.

we are going to have to start a thread soon to help people out that are new to android. I know in the Moto Droid Section they did when the phone came out and it really helped me cause i was green to it. I will be more than happy to help people out that need now that i learned alot. Anyone that has any questions can PM.

Thats good that it hasn't affected u much...wish I could say that same about the cancer I had. Oh well life goes on. I hope I have a positive influnence and help others. I am a cna/ stna. Work in a nursing home..I do know I help them. It will be cool if they could use the evo in the medical forum. Not sure how they would do that. But its interesting that at the ctia or whatever it was called..that u can caugh into the evo and the doctor can dx what u have.

I have never used Android before but from the videos I have seen and I have used winmo..it looks to me that android is better..i have never used linux before LOL but I am still excited and I love what sence can do on evo.

Jacskon thanks for the email good info. On a side note and off topic I know how cancer can affect a family we just had my mother funeral yesterday, but she is in a better place now, and she was a gadget geek. So the EVO would have been her next phone or toy as we like to call them. I know off topic a little but reading the other post just made me want to address it.

I got it as well. Ty. Polka I have to agree with you. I have a hard time even convincing close friends that the EVO will be better than the iphone and they know I'm a phone junkie. That iphone kool-aid is some potent shit. Although I do think the EVO is gonna make a HUGE splash. There are way more people who know about it than I thought. I think as far as sales go there will be a tight race.

It is what it is. I'm just tired of having to justify myself here when i know what i am saying is good. The Evo will have the biggest first month sales than any phone to date.

In terms of sales only, I definitely agree with polkadots.

With overall quality, I think the EVO wins hands down. Once Sprint can get over all the old, bad publicity, and poor opinions, then the EVO & subsequent 4G devices will (in my humble opinion) at the very least equal the Iphone.

I take that back, In my opinion, the EVO & other 4G devices WILL outgrow Iphone.

Pardon my ignorance, but when or where was it announced that the newest Iphone would be released June 6th or near that date? I'm aware that WWDC is June 7th but this does not mean the phone will be sold June 7th.

i think after the 12th there will be a lot of heavy advertising going on. Sprint can use the Sprint Nascar all star race as a big time to show off the phone to the tons of people that watch the races.

2.7 million people watched it last year on tv
