So looking around for a better method of root than installing KingRoot and running SuperSU-ME (Had so many issue with this I simply got fed up with it). I came across this thread on XDA with a new method to root LG devices w/ newer roms. It didn't work, of course, but looking at the code I saw what was going wrong. Our Leon's have a different file/folder structure than these other devices. Some modifications to the scripting and viola! It worked perfectly on my LG Leon running 10d. Then I started to wonder if this would work on the newer 10e rom as well... Asked my husband to borrow his Leon running 10e and it worked as well. So, I decided to package it up and share it with the community that I have leeched from for the longest time.

Just like any other LG OCR... You need to LG drivers installed to run this.

I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research if you have any concerns before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you. A lot.

Special thanks go to digital-bug, NBreunig3, Chainfire, Unjustified Dev, avicohh, & high247

Tried this method. Failed to root my ms345. I get adb.exe not recognized as batch command and adb.exe not found error.

Any way I could get the files not compiled with batch compiler ? Maybe I could work out the problem easier with the commands. Attached the text of error recieved.

I think you have to download the files listed in the op, like what is on the XDA website.

After that I'm kind of stuck.

I have tried those files and batch commands previous to testing this one. It fails and soft bricks the device. I believe according to OP this had a different set of commands than the script from XDA.

If I could get the batch file containing the commands or an explanation (details) of how the ms345's file structure is different I may be able to fix the issue.

It may be something simple that I could change in batch to make it find the adb.exe. The 10d version of firmware has issues for me (bugs). The 10e version I havent been able to root.<yet>

i have a problem with drivers i think this is why it doesn't work for me. I need the LGE MTP Drivers but since i have lg pc suite and lg drivers installed it shooldn' do that.. still don't know why

I have this issue occasionally myself... Here are the steps to fix:

Step 1: Reboot phone into Download mode. The script should do this for you automatically but if it fails, pull the battery from your phone, and put it back in. Then, hold volume up while plugging in the USB cable and continue to hold vol+ until download mode starts.

Step 2: Right click the driver in device manager and click "Update Driver Software"

Step 3: Click "Browse my computer for driver software" and then select "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer."

Step 4: Select the "LGE Android Net MTP Device" and click next

Step 5: Wait for it to finish Installing driver software... and if you get any errors about the device not installing just ignore it, and close the popup window. If all went well you won't have that triangle over the device anymore and it should be able to preform the download_mode steps

Ive been reading about an LG_Root_vO.1 dig zip. Has anybody given this root method a try? and if so did it work for the 10e running 5.1.1 Leon ms345 metroPCS? And ya I figured if any one click root app it would obviously be Kingroot, but Ive been reading that its not ideal in comparison to LG Root tool I believe..... Anyway as to some of what Ive dug up so far in reguards to the 5.1.1 firware 10e is that its bootloaders are locked & developers options beholds an OEM unlock feature but Im not thinkin I wanna start messin with bootloaders if infact that is what this oem feature allows access to.

Good to know. Do you have TWRP? And I have read about a method that roots both 10d and 10e and is one click but then it goes off on how you need to install drivers which obviously requires a pc in which I really have no access to. Anyway Im just kinda hung up on the 5.1.1 10e and this locked bootloader and TWRP for this firware and if it really matters which KingRoot version I go with I mean its not quite as safe attempting all this no pc & Im pretty familiar with rooting & removing kingroot and flashing roms and gapps & custom kernels but Im really getting kind of some rather controdictory sounding advice. Unless I have it wrong I can root this 10e firmware 2 or 3 ways but its not really ideal if you dont own a pc to get TWRP.
