Help Possible to wipe cache partition via app / WITHOUT doing the turn-off-boot-to-recov-mode thing?

I only recently discovered the minor miracle that was cache-partition wiping; sped up my year-old device like crazy. But I've found it's not quite as great as I thought b/c I seem to have to do it every 1-2 weeks otherwise my device slows noticeably.

The entire process of turning it off / holding down buttons / etc (which is how I was instructed to wipe the cache) takes ~5 mins and is annoying. Is it possible to wipe the cache while keeping the device on, via an app or something? Even better, can I schedule this process to run automatically every week or so in the middle of the night?

You didn't say if you're rooted. If you are, Xposed Xblast tools has some good stuff...one of them being four-way reboot menu which includes option to reboot directly to recovery. That is just a little bit easier than the two steps of: 1) powering off ... 2) using the button combination to get to recovery.

SD Maid has quite a few cleaning options (don't let the name fool you).

Unrooted,it's fairly tame, however,if rooted, you have access to the entire phone, but, you must be careful what you clean & what to leave alone.
The app has warnings throughout if you're about to clean/delete stuff that would best be left alone.
I can't say it's as thorough as a cache partition wipe, but, you can set it up to run once a day at a specific time,or,space it out up to a week between running/cleaning.
There's a thread on it over @ XDA-Developers:
