Guys i made the horrible mistake of updating B12, i was tethering unlimited using the T-mobile apn method, but once i updated like a fool, it stopped working, so now, I cant root, or cant use the t-mobile apn method, what do you guys suggest? thank you
there is no suggestions you are not rooted anymore . and i doubt u will be as no one os working n this phone anymore /i suggest u return it back to metro tell them its not working and exchange it
NO ONE IS WORKING on it they achieved root already . the main devs was hoark, ethan m jcase and they all left . so yea no one is working on achieving root .
especially on an update that people should already kno if you update there is 99.9 percent u loose root .
No I am not going to update, I don't want to risk making this unrootable even more. I do know that a new root method is being worked on and I don't want to frak myself even more.

I went to metropcs they're giving me a new phone Monday I'm hoping it comes with old B06.. if not.. I guess I can sell it on eBay as new, buy new lg stylos I'm getting sick of this zte zmax rooting issues...
Sorry to say this but its been getting difficult, I'm grateful I had the Tmobile APN method for wireless tethering but... Now...?? Anyone willing to trade new zte zmax with rooted one?

I'm wading through various Chinese and Korean forums digging for new root methods at all times. There are people actively trying to root old zmax phones that were already updated previously. Hopefully something comes up in the future but for now its not getting anywhere. Two people have claimed to get temp root but no proof.
I believe I have successfully blocked update attempts by placing a file called Update.zip in my phones cache folder.. I kept having my phone- google play notify me that a system enhancement was available.. and every time I deleted it, it would re download.. turning off notifications in google play services stopped the notifications for the update but creating the fake Update.zip stopped it from downloading completely
This update is a lot smaller than the update that hit peoples phones the past 2 weeks, that update was 194mb this one is only 12mb. I wonder if this is the band 12 update.
