Check out this order status page when I log into my Motorola account:

Apparently my Order has been placed, approved, built, and completed as of September 2. I am hoping for an early delivery...

Same here. What's your estimated delivery? Mine's the 21st, but I've seen some people have the 15th.

Oh man...I know it's only 3 more days, but that sucks. I hope they show up a bit earlier for all of us. I can't wait to get rid of this S4.

Alicia the Note 4 (yes, I name my smartphones) is running along fine but with... eccentricities. Hopefully the Moto X will work as expected, every time, right out the box. I think they'll show up before the estimated ship date - I just don't know how much earlier.

My S4 mostly runs fine. Except when I need to make a phone call where I have to "press 1 for English" or other prompts when I have to use the keypad during the call. The proximity sensor must have died because the screen won't stay lit for anything when in call. It's been like the for about a year. I could have used my VZ insurance, but bottom line, I was too lazy to go into the store and wait in line for an hour just for them to tell me what I already knew. I hope Moto quality is still the same as when I had my OG Droid. I had 2 Samsungs and was pretty unhappy with them overall.

I went to BB last Tuesday, they didn't show any in stock or in transit to the store, so, I ordered online to come to house, and it out for delivery today, so, not too bad a wait.

I've been reading that Best Buy is telling people it's an online only. You may want to look into that and double check.

Anyone know if I get the rubber back and don't like it, can I get a bamboo back later?

Sorry man....no. I thought the same thing when I ordered mine through motomaker. I found out afterwards that the back doesn't come off. Or else I would have gotten a premium back. I'd have to return mine when I get it and start all over again. I doubt that's going to happen.

Hmmmm. Looks like the Amazon site has the white with champagne frame and accents, but only for the white back. The bamboo back has the silver frame and accents.

Now I need to figure out which I want more, the champagne or the bamboo. Any thoughts on the pluses or minuses of the wood backs?
