My wife and I each possess a Moto G 4G 'phone using KitKat 4.4.4. I see that a .jpg image taken by my 'phone has latitude and longitude coordinates associated with it when I view Properties>Details>GPS on my Windows PC. No GPS data is present for a similar image taken at the same time and place on my wife's 'phone. My wife's 'phone setting in Settings>Location is 'ON'. The one difference is that my 'phone is set to 'Device only' while my wife's 'phone is set to 'High accuracy'. Is there a setting elsewhere on her 'phone that would prevent the recording of the GPS data?

I thank you for your informative reply.
I was bemused by your instructions initially, because the camera app does not display a settings icon as such when opened. I discovered subsequently what I had long forgotten: I must swipe the screen from left to right to display the camera settings wheel. I tapped the location icon on my wife's 'phone. A box appeared asking, "Let me in", which I tapped. This action turned on geotag and I see the latitude and longitude coordinates in a .jpg's Properties now.
How often I have needed your username as my inner voice, in technology matters especially! It made me smile.
