So... I think my Moto X Pure has already been assembled...

Odd that your date is October 6. I just ordered mine tonight and my date is October 5. I ordered 64gb white/champagne with raspberry back and pink accents with engraving and special boot message. So pretty and girly! I can hardly wait!

Dang, really? I ordered mine two days ago and it said October 6th....

Also, you're getting the phone on my birthday ;)

My phones landed in Memphis... just 3 hours away. But they're under a "clearance delay". whatever that means. With any good luck, I'll have them Monday instead of Tuesday.

Mine is also in Memphis, a little over 2 hours away under the same status. I googled it b/c I wondered what it was. Apparently it means it's under examination/assessment by customs or something. Just a normal process for imported items it looks like.

FYI, I changed the delivery method from home to the FedEx office by my job since it required a signature and no one would be home at delivery. Something others might consider if the option is available and you don't want to miss it. They called this morning to verify they received the change and to verify the pickup location. Said the delivery date would stay the same.

So after being told that my order was shipping on 9/15 and was due for delivery today (6 days for delivery when, literally, everyone else has gotten delivery in 3 days?), I just got off of a Chat with customer support. My phone is not coming today. Or tomorrow. Or the next day. Maybe not even next week. Now, on the day it was supposed to be delivered, they're telling me there are parts back ordered and they don't have a release date for the order. I am disgusted with this experience.

I would be highly ticked off as well. There's nothing worse than having your expectations set, with anticipation building each day, only to have them ground into the dirt at the very last minute. A huge part of the Customer Experience is exceeding your customers' expectations, or at minimum, delivering on your promises.

Motorola has dropped the ball here, so all of us should be a little wary about deliveries going forward. I just ordered my Pure this weekend, with an estimated delivery of Sep 30... I will not be holding my breath.

I'm tracking my phone on the FedEx website... so I have a high level of assurance that the phone is actually in the box. For Moto to state that the phone is done and on the way, ready for delivery, and then start someone back at square one due to backorder is unthinkable, and pretty much unforgivable. Two Nexus phones are being revealed next week: if I woke up in your shoes, Chippah, I would cancel my Moto order and take a hard look at a new Nexus. My 2¢

Right now I'm in the same position as The Chief, tracking through FedEx and on schedule for delivery tomorrow. It better be in the box. And working properly too...

Chippah-
Don't know you, but sorry to hear that man. Might not help, but mine was supposed to have been delivered on 9/17. Hopefully it won't be long. Wish you luck with whatever you decide to do. On the positive side, you still have better odds of getting a Moto X before you'd be able to get a Oneplus 2. ;)

I thought about doing that. I looked at the new Nexuses (Nexii?) and I'm not all that impressed. I mean, specs wise they're impressive. The Huawei is just butt ugly...and the LG's screen is only slightly bigger than my S4. If I do cancel or return this phone...I'll probably just get a Nexus 6 and call it a day. But I'm going to wait for this one to come in first anyway and see if the wait was worth it. We shall see.

LOL BLK...from what I've heard of Oneplus' customer service, I should be thanking Moto for screwing me.

Ok... just got a "Shipped!" email notification from Motorola, estimated delivery is Sept 24th. I ordered on Sept 20th, so if it's delivered on time, I would be wow'ed at the quick turnaround time! But still not holding my breath, I'll wait for phone-in-hand before I start rejoicing. I feel for those who are experiencing delays, maybe I just ordered a build not in demand: 32GB, Black Front, Deep Blue Sea, Red Accent, with Engraving and Greeting.

<Chatting with Mototrola right now about a cancelled order>

...and Motorola still dropped the ball... I ordered a 16GB, Black back, on Sep 19th and called a few hours later to see if I could change the order to a 32GB. Via Chat, I was told they would have to cancel the order and I could go and place another order. The change will take effect 5 minutes after our Chat session ended. The next day my initial order reflected "On Hold or Cancelled" so I went ahead and placed a new order for the 32GB Deep Blue Sea. Today, 9/22, I see my 32GB order has been shipped and my first 16GB order has just been completed??? The cancellation did not take place and the 16GB will be shipped. I will have to contact Mototrola to process a return/refund when the 16GB is delivered.

So a mixed customer experience so far. Maybe the Customer Service reps are not well trained, or provided with the information they need to perform their functions?

Production and revenue generation is king! Service quality? Not so much...

Mine said completed yesterday and I got a tracking number today. Is it realistic though to see it still in China and expect delivery on 09/28? That is the date they say for delivery.

You might get lucky. Take a look at the tracking on my phone from FedEx. I changed the times to reflect my local time here FL. As you can see, the phone was in China at 2:46 pm Tuesday and in my hand in Florida at 10:11 am Wednesday morning. That seems to be a really quick turnaround to me...! My delivery date was 10:30 am Thursday morning.
