Anyone interested in the Style?

I don't know what that is, but Sega Blast Processing sounds super!
Sega marketing made it up and claimed Sonic was designed using it on the Genesis. The commercials are on YouTube. :)

BTW, I ordered a 64gb black Moto X Pure the other day. Will compare to my N4 to see if a keeper.

I am tempted to get the 64GB model but I can get a 64GB sd card for cheap. Might even splurge and get a 128GB sd card for the phone.

I have seen a couple of unboxings now, for those of you that are hating on the screen, 2 of the unboxings mentioned the screen looked like the nicest, brightest screen they have ever seen on a moto product. The other one said the screen looked really nice upon powering it on. Personally I am not worried about the screen display, I am slightly worried about screen size. I really do want a smaller phone than the N6 for long term use. I love the N6 but it's a bit cumbersome from time to time. I'll probably keep it for media intensive operations, but for day-to-day I think I'd like something in the 5 - 5.5 inch range, but that's just me.

BTW anybody seen the boot animation for the X pure/style? I have not been able to find it and I am terribly curious.

The screen on the X is not bad when watching anything that is "light" in color. Where it lacks is during dark scenes. I compared my Note 3 and X Pure while watching Netflix. The amoled on the Note 3 has a better viewing angle and the darks are really dark. The X Pure being a TFT screen does not get nearly as dark. The colors on the X seem more natural and not as saturated as the amoled. Although the screen is nice on the X, I'd take the screen on the Note 3 any day, even if it is lower resolution. I'm debating whether or not I want the Nexus 6 instead.

Somewhat anticlimactic - same boot animation on my 2013 Moto X. Somehow I expected more. o_O

On a side note, my local best buy locations are showing stock in hand of the black 16GB version. 32GB in white and black are still showing as not in stock (and not available to order either). I will probably swing by best buy here today or tomorrow to check it out. I like everything I have heard about it but the size. So I will see how it feels in hand.

***update***

I went last night, nicest gal ever got in the locked cabinet, got out a brand new 16GB black Moto X ripped of the plastic wrap, cut the seals and handed it over. It was really quite glorious. I was honestly tempted to buy it on the spot. (Had it been 32GB I would have - and I'd be dead today - because, marriage. :D )

The size might just be perfect, it was the only thing I was worried about and the size is just excellent. For someone that loves the Nexus 6 but always wished it was a bit smaller, this is the perfect phone for you. It feels very small in the hand compared to the N6. It's the difference in width that really makes the difference, the height is not noticeably different. But if you were almost able to one hand the N6 you'll like it I could maneuver my thumb around the screen with ease. And I (at times) struggle to one hand the N6. The weight is real nice as well (coming from the N6). It really shows the refinement of being the 3rd generation, so many of the little nit picky things have been addressed and the hardware (as always) just seems superb.

Style is my main device right now, and got most new devices. You will never get a phone with everything you want, so you just have to get the one with most things you need. :)
And the Style is decent in most regards and superior in some.
But that clean Android is on thing that is very nice.
Battery is OK
Camera is very nice in daylight and decent in low light.
System/ui is great.
Screen is OK and even better than I thought it should be.

Will be fun compare it to N6p when I get it, and if the Nexus can take the spot as my daily phone..:)

Got my 32GB black model from Carphone Warehouse last week. So far am very impressed with functionality and build quality, especially for the price. The only downsides are lack of notification LED and wireless charging. Other than that though, all good. And Moto Display and turbo charging go some way to making up for the downsides.
