I don't "love" the bump yet, but it's not too bad. My bigger concern is why is the bar black. I think it would have looked better if it was just off white or off silver. Of course it looks better on the black model cause it doesn't stand out like a sore thumb.

Either way, I'll probably get the silver cause I'll most likely have a case that covers it anyways.

cool ring of light vs black bar . No wonder nexus 10 failed .
That bar is uglier than HTC black bar . Huawei really dont know how to design a decent looking phone .

At least we got another nexus 5........
Although it didnt surpass previous desgin . At least it still comfortable to see .

After doing some looking I did find a very clear picture of the side, so one could see how far the camera bump protrudes. It's not as bad as I had imagined before seeing this view. Whoever did the video report for Phandroid did a horrible job. Flipping it over and over without a single pause and a side view for us to see.

Anyway I gave it a "MEH" in the poll simply because I hate camera bumps even though this is so small I cannot imagine it making a difference except ruining the ability to set it flat on it's back. Carrying it in my pocket it'll go unnoticed. Only my OCD will know it's there >...ha..ha..ha...:D

Yes you're right it's more than a camera bump... it gives me goosebumps

Why?

Too much like Officer Bob's LightBar on top of his Patrol Car... it's always lit when I look in my mirror...ha..ha..ha...

(sad but true, next week I go in for an operation to remove the lead from my right foot)

I'm coming around to liking it. At first when we saw the leaks i was in disbelief, but it's growing on me, and i'll probably love it when it arrives. Similar I guess if i had a ginger haired child
Red hair can be gorgeous. But that bar will forever be a big black bar bump thingy.

Sorry, don't want to offend any new 6P owners. But it is what it is. And it just ain't pretty. The old saying 'Beauty is only skin deep but ugly goes right to the bone' applies in this case.

I like it for the fact that it is different,a nice contrast to the mehness of say,the Note5 (which I have).
The Note 5 feels nice in-hand,but,not much to look at.
I've gravitated towards the less than mainstream devices, starting with Huawei & the OG Ascend w/the trackball, the octagon Moto Photon w/the Lapdock & HDMI port, the OPPO N1 w/its rotating camera & the 2 G Flex models.

The NEXUS6P is almost a buy w/me,but,beyond the uniqueness of its exterior,it doesn't offer anything compelling hardware or software wise to get one.

To those picking up the Nexus6P, EMBRACE THE WEIRDNESS ! :thumbsupdroid:

I don't have a problem with the form, as long as it functions well. It would have to have a case on it, so the edge of that bump isn't scratched up, but I would have a case (nothing bulky like an otterbox) on any phone anyway.
You get the wrong point .
Look isnt the price need to sacrifice for functionality .

If you got 2 absolutely same function phone .
1 have good look and another is ugly which one would you choose ?
