Root Candy5_Unofficial_v3.2

Ok so I wiped everything and it boots fine now. I flashed the Virgin mobile APN fix, but I can only get 3G not LTE. Any suggestions about that?

Whenever I have an issue with 4g after flashing, I change some things in the APN, and turn on location.
Then be patient. Use your phone and maybe reboot awhile later. Check the APN is selected after you reboot. I always start to freak out thinking I've lost LTE, but it always comes back eventually.

With stock zv5 I left the phone on without using it for four weeks and the battery only went down 20%. With candy5 it goes down that much in two days tops. Problem isn't going into deepsleep (I get a few seconds of "awake with screen off" every day), but that deepsleep itself uses battery (I use the power nap xposed module to get rid of wakelocks). How can I get the phone to use less battery when it is deepsleep? I greenified basically everything but that doesn't help. Thanks

I think this is what I used to get it to Disable The Hardware Keys Lights:
Add The Following code to /system/etc/init.d/90userinit
Code:
echo 0 > /sys/class/leds/button-backlight/max_brightness chmod 755 > /sys/class/leds/button-backlight/max_brightness

and reboot
You can take the code back out after it boots
To get this to work I needed to first enable init.d support

So let me start by saying this is my first real root/rom install I've done.. Im computer literate but this is a whole new ballgame for me... I got myself all the way thru the proccess after many tries

But now I am not able to get my internet(3g) mobile data to work on my LG Volt with RINGPLUS
---
I am rooted and have candy5 installed and working great, although I don't see a way to do a PRL update.. so Im at a loss.. I tried to update the VPN manually which i believe is the same as a PRL update? But that didn't help me any.. It works fine on WIFI but that is all...

I have an identical LG volt that is running stock rom that i tried to use APN recovery and backup but it says it doesnt have access to do that..

hoping someone has an APN fix like the Sprint/Boost fixes listed on other posts about this..

UPDATE about 15 minutes later.. I been at this since 9am this morning
So I found a zip to flash ringplus apn in recovery mode, cleared all cache, system cache, fresh install of candy 5, flashed gapps and a APN fix for ringplus i managed to find somehwere with a bunch of sprint vpn settings.. but it didnt seem to make a difference...

I believe there is something in settings to define what the home button does.

There is but they do not work! I can set them to what I want but they don't do the desired action. And I didn't even see a "Recent Apps" option under "Long Press Home Button". Also tries to enable Slim Recents but still it didn't do anything, not even after several reboots

No, there is a list of options to define what the home button does, but the home button doesn't do anything at all regardless of what I set it to
Well, actually all I notice it doing is; when I just simply tap it, it shades the first option in "Settings" gray, but doesn't do anything else, and when I hold down the button it does the same thing, unless I'm at the bottom of the list of settings, then it takes me to the very top and shades the top menu item. The only way I can use it properly is by enabling the Navigation Bar for now

Weird, maybe you have a hardware issue?

As requested a while back by @LeGiT_dIaMoNd
Most likely all the same problems as with CM12.1 Beta (used same Dev tree/kernel/vendor)

Based off of Quarx2k W7 device tree & Quarx2k MSM8226 kernel

As always FLASH @ OWN RISK!!! I take no responsibility for anything you do to your device!

As far as I can tell.
Not working - NFC; USB OTG

I know this thread is old, but I'm Loving this Rom..Received the Volt second hand, over a year ago..I Rooted, light debloated. Two months after that, It wouldn't take a charge and wouldn't turn on at all..I just packed it away, for months until I just took a chance and ordered a battery a few days ago..Received the battery, inserted and ''BOOM''! It booted up..4.4.2 KitKat needed a change..Found this thread and happy.Just wanted to say thanks....
