Help Did my marshmallow upgrade fail?

Last night I got a notification on my N7 that an upgrade was ready. I told it to go ahead and install it expecting 6.0 to be there. The upgrade was 9.8 MB. It went through the upgrade process showing the android bot and the progress bar beneath it. Then it optimized all the apps. When the upgrade process was finally done I went to settings -> about tablet to look. It was still at 5.1.1. I even brought up the easter egg and it was the lollipop one. Build is LMY48T.

So, did the 6.0 upgrade fail or was this something different? I'm pretty sure the N7 had already received last month's new monthly security upgrade and I've not heard of another one for October. The device has never been rooted.

Any ideas?

Charlie

Charlie,
I think that you will find that this is just a simple update to 5.1.1 --- I had it delivered some weeks ago.

Ron,

Looks like you're right. It's the October Security Update Build LMY48T. September update was LMY48M. My N6 is still on the latter. Found a good listing of the updates here:

After 48t will come marshmallow. Or you can download the update and adb sideload it yourself. It will be much larger than 8 MB, lol. If you don't know how to use adb and fastboot, just use wugfresh nexus kit.
