Root [ROM] Sense-able 2.0 UPDATED [4/3/10]

If its Senseable, by JAMEZELLE, then its NOT YOUR OWN VERSION. Quit jacking other peoples ROMS! Damn dude you've got SOME NERVE.

he is not taking credit for the rom. he was merely stating that he had a working version of senseable with a2sd and OC. i don't see what the problem is with him just trying to help those guys out.

Dont get me wrong bro, I'm all about helping people out, always have been. I've even helped Andrizoid out myself at one time. But He does (did) stuff to people roms without asking the devs for permissions. Thats just not how it works.

actually thats exactly how it works. i appreciate the work you have done to help me, and im sad to see that you too have turned against me.

not really sure how all this happened, all i did was take a rom that didnt work as the dev said it did, and made it work as it was supposed to. i DID contact the dev, no my fault he chose to ignore me.

No see.. thats NOT how it works. When you have an idea for an improvement on someone elses rom, you suggest it to them. And if they approve and put it in, then THEY give YOU credit for it. THAT is how it works. End of story.

Dude, i'm telling it to your face.

And I'm not doing it just to be a dick, you need to learn some respect, and grow up. Give credit where its do. Anyway, I'm over it. Keep doing what you do, it seems to be earing you alot of respect right? Yeah...

android is open source. it is mine to distribute. for the record though, i havent. ive offered it to jamezelle and he declined wanting it. im keeping it for myself and waiting for jamezelle to release his official version.

andrizoid, not trying to flame you, but want to give some constructive criticism. I am going to say it bluntly and get straight to the point here.

its not about who owns it. yes android is open source and you and everyone else is free to do whatever they want with it. but, when a dev spends a lot of time cooking up their modded roms and making the themes and doing the bug fixes, etc, then all they ask for is a little recognition. when you, or someone else comes along and says that they fixed a bunch of problems, then starts calling it "theirs" and offers it to others, whether they go through with it or not, we take offense to that, as we spent a lot of time on our work, and we arent even getting any recognition for it. just ask us before you do anything if you can modify the rom, and release it with recognition is all we ask. just a simple this is senseable 3 rom, made my jamezelle, and i have fixed some problems in it. here is the release.

the way you come off in the posts is very arrogant and and selfish. it sounds like you either claim the work as yours, or you dont make it clear that its not yours and that you have modified it, and telling people who it came from. just ask before you start offering up someone elses work, and give credit where credit is due. or you could just make your own rom, and you wont have ANY of these issues. clearly, you have the knowledge to do so. if you have over 1,000 posts, and can debug someone elses rom, and make your own fix, then you clearly have the knowledge to make your own rom. we have people that have never made a rom before, have less than 20 posts, and have some really snappy roms. if all else fails, use dsixda's kitchen.

like i said, not trying to flame, but give constructive criticism.

Its a great rom, i've been using it since last night. I used the auto root installer but instead of flashing the rom when you press 3 in the menu i copied over the sense-able v2.0 and flashed it with that instead. Just be sure to clear the data like it says in the first post and you'll be alright. All in all it took about 30-45 minutes from start to finish. If i had to do it over again i'm sure it would be much faster, but i wanted to be sure i didn't screw anything up so i looked for youtube videos to show me each step and what to expect. Its a simple process though.

Where did you find the youtube videos on this ROM? or, were you just looking up videos on how to install ROMs?

I would just like to say that I am very grateful to everyone that helps with these great roms.
The devs that create them of course deserve a lot of credit for their hard work.
But i personally am very grateful for all the help I have received from Andrizoid (right or wrong the way he did it).
He is very helpful and patient in answering bonehead questions and even taking his personal time to help people one on one when having problems.

Hope everyone here can continue the great work!

I've tried to stay respectful because I am truly amazed at what these guys can do. I consider myself very tech savvy and most of this stuff flies waaaayyy over my head. But its really upsetting to see these people publicly ganging up on andrizoid. I don't know the guy, and he has personally never really "helped me out". But I have seen the time he has put into helping others here, and in getting a2sd working. You may not like it, but this is how progress is made. You take the work someone else does, learn from the mistakes they made and improve upon it. In every post I've read of his, he has ALWAYS given credit to who's rom he was working on, and I've never seen him take credit for anything that he didn't personally have a hand in fixing. Its been said by me and some of the mods around here, but if you have a problem with someone, you should speak with them privately about it. Not publicly for everyone to see. Its just disrespectful. If that doesn't work then contact the powers that be on this site and report them. If someone is here trying to cause trouble or stir things up that is one thing, but we shouldn't go around bashing people who are just trying to help. Anyway thats my thoughts on the matter.

thank you, your right. i have NEVER taken credit for anything that was not mine. i made clear the the roms were not mine, the one time that someone told me good job on MY rom i was quick to jump on them and correct them. the only thing i have taken credit for it getting a2sd working on their roms.

all ive done is take roms that i liked, and make them better by adding a fix. you should be proud that i decided to use your rom, i liked it enough that rather than switching, i fixed it so that i could continue using it.

ive only tried to help, i think thats what you have all missed. i never said that you devs sucked or were stupid because you didnt get it working originally, i just fixed a few things that i saw were wrong.

i hope you guys see eventually that i never meant to cause all this bullshit, i just wanted to contribute.

ok, back to Sense-able 3.0. just flashed it. there is a phone app fix on the xda forum thread...flashed that immediately after. no issues with phone app or hardly anything else.

a few issues from my previous rom(grdlock eris21official) are still around though:
1)Google voice - when i back out of GV, it goes back to the home screen then GV slides back in, i press back again and now it stays gone.
2)the keyboard is the HTC Sense 1.5OS version...no microphone button...bummer!

i'm going to go look for that market fix...didn't know about that - it wasn't talked about on the xda thread. and plan to try swype so the keyboard thing may not matter but i still want the ability of Voice-to-Text in any text input...any suggestions?

one other thing - it should be fine to update the radio to the newest version for my phone right? no matter what the ROM?

I would really like to get a circular battery indicator with percentages in my notification bar. Does anyone know if one of these downloads would work for Sense-able 3.1?

There are so many different download options, that my head is spinning. Some appear to be Froyo only, but there are some 2.1 listed. The circles a few scrolls down that start out as blue would be ideal!

Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!
