The xperia keyboard comes in at about 9.5 megs versus the bloated 35 meg one we use now. That's a savings

In the morning Im going to mess around with the build.prop from zv6 by kwknott and change out some entries for build,etc and copy it over to another rom ive edited with gapps in it and wait a day or so to see if i get the download. If not we might be nag free on the updates.

No still testing stability for next 2 days, then flashing it. Also stock runs good.

My biggest thing is finding not smaller apk sizes, but smaller running memory footprints. Reducing system load, less needed resources, to improve speed and performance. Also key factors are permissions, but they can be disabled if necessary.

Why would you want to do that?

So we don't get the nag to update basically it will trick it into thinking we have the update already

Looks like a neat modification to the stock rom that I might try but I'm just wondering why no ZV6 update? Wasn't that supposed to patch stagefright?

Got the ZV6 build.prop edits in place. Rom showing ZV6 as the current build. Now to see if I get an update pushed to me. As for why no zv6 for the rom,the currentzv6 we have is odexed. I already was most ways done with this when kwknott postedbthe zv6 stock rom. So it would have meant starting over which I didn't want to do. As for stagefright,yeah zv6 patches it. But you can simply turn off auto retrieval of attachments in mms app settings to avoid any stagefright issue. To me it makes more sense to do that and screen out unwanted crap anyway. But I will eventually get this to zv6. For now I'm working on a fix to stop the updates.

Also, most third party SMS apps have their own stagefright patch in place anyway.

Yeah and many people already use something besides stock for messaging. No update push so far. Been a few hours.

For anyone wanting to add in gapps with this, all of the packages seem to have disappeared. o_O

Here is a nano package. I also have a pico package saved somewhere, the nano gives you google voice search/input.

All PA gapps are gone/discontinued. I don't know if they've just gone full Lollipop or what.
I searched Android file host for gapps in general and it found nothing. o_O

First Id like to compliment you on an incredibly awesome rom here,.. its top notch from top to bottom...
I NEED TO REPORT A BAD BUG OR GLITCH THOUGH....
5GHZ WIFI IS NOT WORKING IN THIS ROM...
I have a comcast wifi router/modem and it puts out both 2.4 and 5ghz wifi....
my lg volt will not see the 5 ghz wifi ... with your rom..... i also installed wifi switcher and it has no effect on switching to 5 ghz ... it just stays at 2.4....

What can we do about this ?
anything you need to know from me ?

Got this installed with the gapps I posted. Is working well, reactivated with no problem, but a couple things I've noticed...Qremote isn't working/present, and I'm getting zv6 notifications. Hopefully neither is going to be a big deal for me to fix, but I wanted to mention it.

Qremote is working, tested with my crappy Sanyo tv.
Curtis is getting the edits for the build.prop squared away, should have it up tomorrow after fully testing for stability.
