MS77010f update?

Listen...im just now geting this notification at 8am after having a crazy fight with my girlfriend lastnight and let me just spare you a long story to say that I have strong reason to believe that she installed a "spy-bubble" ap and/or some kind or type of spy ap on my phone as she has done this before with previous phones that she was able to install the ap on wout me knowing (e.g., like she probably told me that she needed to use my phone to make a call or something like that and then installed the ap surepititously and/or accepted it) but she told me that these aps require her to download the software onto my phone.....and she has no access to my phone right now and from the sounds of some of these guys in the forum.....this could be a spy ap from a jealous lover or a hacker or even a damn trojan horse virus and they are all just accepting it anyways wout knowing what it is!!! Does anyone else here who recieved this notificfation have reason to believe or suspect that someone like a jealous gf may have tryed to install a "spy ap" onto your phones??? And can ANYONE, ANYONE AT ALL tell me that they know or can quote from a completely official/legitiment source that this so called "software update download" (e.g., that seems to enhance the gps mechanism on the phone according to one writer) is not a sppy ap, and that it serves a legitiment purpose?????????

I just got this Spyware Bubble also
We must have the same girlfriend.

If you're truly worried she installed an app like that, factory reset and it will be gone :) a trojan on an android phone can't do a lot without root access and it sounds to me you aren't rooted.

I cannot answer your question at all, but if you do not mind me saying so, you need to kick this girl friend to the curb. Gee whiz, why tolerate that sort of behaviour from ANYONE?

I have an LG-MS770 phone and I'm trying to root it if possible. Every where I look, there is no way to have it done. Obviously there has to be a way. I want to root it, I'm aware of the risks involved. It runs slow, batter don't last long and I want to be able to add new features and block these damn app ads

You might notta looked hard enough. Here is what you should have been easily able to find: http://androidforums.com/motion-4g-all-things-root/611262-guide-howto-root-lg-motion-4g.html

It's a sticky in the Motion All Things Root subforum.

Simply rooting the LG Motion by no means will cause the device to run slow or even cause additional/excessive battery drain. Rooting a device will only give you administrative access and privileges to areas/partitions that are normally off limits and don't allow for you to have either read/write access.
The LG Motion bootloader cannot be unlocked, therefore after rooting the Motion, you need to be careful in what you do as far as deleting system apps and making modifications as not to cause a soft brick or security error, which will prevent the device from booting. The motion is Is Loki'd which basically bypasses the lock bootloader and can/will allow some custom ROM's and kernels to run on the device.
Rooting the Motion is a pretty easy and simple process as alfick3 said.... Just follow the Rooting guide through the LG Motion ATR forum to root the device and then install the 2nd init recovery (LTE2 recovery installer apk) -http://androidforums.com/motion-4g-all-things-root/665972-985hpakick-2nd-init-recovery.html

The things that will affect the Motion's performance and battery life is the modifications and changes that you make to the device after rooting the Motion.

Truthfully there is also another current update from the Motion... Firmware G and there is a loki-patched kernel for it as well - http://androidforums.com/motion-4g-all-things-root/856574-kernel-loki-unsecured-kernel-firmware-g-any-useful.html

Of you need any help or have any questions just let me know!!

How can i update my rooted lg 4g to play games my phone is otherwise to outdated t play, im on 4.0.4 now but because im rooted i thought i'd be stuck on that as i was refused a system update
The update that you say you were refused, didn't update the android version. All it did was update the Motion to firmware version ms770g from f.

I rooted mine twice
1st:
with stock ROM using root_4.3.apk here:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/55chk7rp0idva1t/root_4.3.apk?dl=0

And supersu.apk on google playstore
For super user-root_4.3.apk is in Chinese(?)

2nd:
(ROM: cm-10.0.0.l0.BobZhome.05212013.zip)
Using towelroot.apk (1st root app didn't work after flashed)

PS: used 2nd-init recovery for bobzhome

aflick3:

Edit: there is lollipop for lg ms770
But you'll have to root then install 2nd-init recovery app...etc (sadly the lollipop update reguires a survey to download - otherwise I'd be using it instead of bobzhome )

Edit 2: The new rom wont be automaticaly rooted-you wont have to unroot to flash one but youll have to reroot once flashed

edit 3: (didnt want to post under my post this edit is totaly new question)

is it possible to flash a non android OS to an android phone?
particuraly a desktop OS to LG Motion 4G (im thinking it would have to be a linux distro unless entire phone was somehow formatted to ntfs or something)

if not motion 4g than any android phone

and if not a desktop OS than with non android mobile OS?

You'd have to post a link to a lollipop ROM for the Motion. If you have to take a survey to get it, then I'd say it was a fake.
