Root LG G2-AutoRec(TWRP on lollipop stock rooted)

Nope. Just flash dorimanx kernel
Hi I have the recovery installed and am able to boot into it by using an app. But the hardware key combination(vol down + power) doesn't work for me. I have tried many combinations but still no luck. Any ideas what is wrong? As I mentioned in my posts above I am running cloudyg2 3.3.

One more thing I noticed as I installed the app ROM manager, in that it shows two installed recoveries cwm and twrp with the twrp as default. I don't know whether its an app issue but if its not could that be the reason why I am not able to use the hardware keys for recovery?? before installing the recovery I was able to use the hardware keys to boot into hard reset mode.

This is the third time then i flash the recovery and every time do the same
you are using autorec to install twrp correct?? If thats the case, try this:

1. Install twrp using autorec
2. do not switch off the phone. Use an app to reboot into recovery.
3. If you are able to then wipe cache and dalvik cache and then try to reboot into OS from twrp
4.If you can boot into OS well and good. Otherwise you will need to download any rom(e.g. cloudyg2) and then after flashing the stock kdz again copy the zip into the phone memory.
5. Repeat the steps above except after wiping the cache, install the zip and then try to reboot into OS. It should mostly boot correctly then

Running Sprint LS980 switched over to Boost.

Just a heads up to those of you on Sprint or Boost and who have taken or are thinking about taking the ZVH stagefright update. You will still be able to root your phone, flash TWRP, and get the hotspot mod working.

I tried restoring my stock recovery with Autorec and using the unroot feature in SuperUser but was still unable to flash the update.

I WAS able to get the ZVH update. You can root the ZVH update, use the LS980 Autorec app to flash TWRP and flash the hotspot mod too. I tot'ed back to ZVE and let my Sprint G2 activated on Boost go through the update process. Once i was on ZVH i did the above mentioned. It took a little time and some reading but my G2 is up and running like a champ.

Anyone interested just shoot me a PM and I'll write you a TUT with all files included.

Edit:

Only one drawback. You will not be able to flash any of the custom ROMs yet. They will remove the stagefright patch. Honestly, rooted stock with the hotspot mod isn't bad at all.

I'm trying to download the D800 version, but the link to the play store says not available in your country (US). I tried searching for and downloading the apk from another location. It seemed to download/install ok, and when I run it, I see all the messages up to "backup done you may flash now". But, I can't tap the lollipop! I can't get it to start flashing TWRP. I tapped the other one and it restored stock, but the flash TWRP doesn't do anything. I'm on stock Lollipop and rooted. What else can I try?
