I’d never considered rooting my Tab 4 (7”) before, but I am reading that the upgrade to Lollipop may not happen now, and I am getting fed up with no access to the external card, so it may be my best option.
So if I am to root it, once I follow the instructions, do I then need to find a suitable custom ROM? (if so, where do I look?)? Do they all allow access to the card? (if they don’t it’s a pointless exercise for me) And can I use a 128Gb SD card? Oh, and is it safe, or does rooting pose a risk to the device?
Apologies if these are basic or repeated questions, I am brand new to the whole rooting concept.
