I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 and I want to remove Smart Manager because it pops up every 2 days asking about App Optimisation (even though everything is already set to be optimised) I cannot remove or disable (or hide notifications) since it's pre-installed, but I don't want to see it, any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Steven

+1 for Package Disabler Pro, I use it on my S6, disables bloatware and other programs you don't need or want perfectly

just for grins, even as it said "Are you Sure???"

I let it do an Automatic disable of "bloatware", and it killed a lot of stuff that you actually need...
but, it sure cleaned up the phone :D

I undid all of that, and then went thru the list manually and turned off the things that irritate me.

Hello!
I have 'Package disabler pro' in Samsung n9005 with Android 5.0. 'Smartmanager framework thread' wakes CPU hundreds times more often than any other 'Android system' component. Disabling 'Smart manager provider' in 'Package disabler pro' does not stop 'Smartmanager framework thread'. What other should I disable in 'Package disabler pro' to stop 'Smartmanager framework thread'?
Kind regards

FWIW there are some things that Package Disabler Pro does not disable
. Don't know about Smart Manager. But I know it doesn't disable the OTA firmware update processes. Because apparently Samsung sent the Package Disabler devs a cease and desist letter, because of the Note7 battery fire recall and Samsung pushing out OTA updates that neutered the Note7.Maybe they included Smart Manager as well, and now it doesn't disable it?

Thanks for the information!
What would stop 'Smartmanager framework thread'?

It's a system process, so I would guess you can't, not unless the phone was rooted.

FYI Smart Manager is actually a version of Clean Master, that Cheetah Mobile partnered with(bribed) Samsung to put in their phones. You may find something called "Cheetah Mobile Clean Master SDK" in the system apps list. Later devices like S7, Note8, etc. don't have it.

I did not believe that 'Packagedisabler pro' could disable 'Android system' and disabled it to see if this would help. Nothing happened first, however, when I rebooted, the phone stacked at Samsung logo and could not start any more. How to enable 'Android system' now to recover?
