Hello all, new to the forums, but I have played around with rooting my phone and different ROMS. I have a few questions, first, will Kitkat run smoother on my G3 than say lollipop? Or anything newer? Or am I better off running a bare new version and applying nova launcher or such to get the icons and clean stock look I want? And I'm not too familiar with kernels, partitions, modems, etc. Like would KitKat run good with a new kernel, modem? Or is that not possible, and is limited.
Also, what are the essential apps that are clean and stock looking, no ads, well I guess everyone's favorite? I'm talking weather, time, notes, messaging, just every day use stuff. I appreciate all feedback!
