Hi all I'm having a problem with my ott box, I unknowingly tried to install a firmware update (or so I thought).
My box has now frozen, I can't get it to boot up at all, I tried the toothpick method (Nothing) I just get a blank screen.
The light on the front is red and that doesnt change.
I tried to get my pc to recognise it by connecting it via a male to male usb cable and have tried all 4 usbs with no effect.
Can I put anythind on to an sd card to get it to boot even though the toothpick (reset) button doesnt seem to work.
I am a novice to this so please go easy with me.
Many thanks for looking at my post and look forward to hearing from anyone that can help.

Do you know what the IP of the box is? If so, type the IP of the box into the browser of a computer that is on the same network. You should be able to get the status of the box this way... I would also try to hook the video up through AV if you haven't already in case there is something wrong with the HDMI video now... If none of that works you can use the directions here to make a boot disk on the SD card: http://chinagadgetsreviews.com/how-...-bootable-magic-micro-sd-card-in-minutes.html
