I am having an issue with my Note 5 i just got. it was fine for about the first few weeks, now it randomly chirps at me, no reason i can think of. No notification popup on the screen or at the top that i see. no new email or message or voicemail. i have blocked most but not all app notifications, NFC is off, system volume is muted, tried everything, not roaming. even have the phone set to "Do not disturb", still does it.

it is doing it less often than when it started, tells me i may have stopped some of the chirps but something is still allowing it to chirp and i can't figure out what it is. Very annoying. Hated Apple, finally switched back to Android after 2 years, then this happens? very disruptive.

i am on the T mobile network, please help!

Is your stylus missing? Same thing happened to me. Drive me nuts for 3 days. Then noticed my stylus was not there. Found it put it back into phone and chirping stopped.

No missing stylus, in fact i discovered something new, i muted system sound in the sound settings and turned notifications and media volume way down. i could still hear it barely during one of the random chirping sessions that happened and so i turned media volume up and it got louder. Does that make any sense?

Try running in Safe Mode to determine the culprit:
