App to Replace GVoice Callback

I have been using GVoice Callback for a few years now and really love it. I can set it to ask me every time I make a call if I want to use my regular or Google Voice number and then set certain contacts to always use my regular number and others to always use Google Voice. However, it appears that the app is no longer supported and can no longer log into Google to connect gvoice calls. In fact, the app appears to have been pulled from the play store, but I am not sure when that happened.

I have looked at a couple replacement apps, but am not entirely sure they will do what I want. Those apps are:

Call Interceptor: Google Voice
Voice Plus 2.0
Voice Choice

Call Interceptor seems to require the need to place a call to gvoice voicemail to make the call.

The other two seem to be all or nothing, but do not allow you to make a choice if calling a number not in your contacts.

Does anyone know of a good GVoice Callback replacement app?

Thanks,

Kratos

I use Voice Choice and love it. Used GVoice Callback for a long while even after it left Google Play. Check Amazon, it was there at one point.

Anyway, set Google Voice to ask for every call in the app and Voice Choice will still allow you to decide. I just tried it for you so it will do what you want. Normally I have it set to use GV for all calls and VC set up to bypass for certain numbers. They still used my real number just now. Does that make sense?

So. VC set to always call with GV but GV set to ask. Set VC to call specific numbers with your number and it will ask for everything else.

Thanks for the feedback. I actually tried the one from Amazon as well, but it keeps telling me that it appears I do not have a google voice account. I am guessing it has something to do with the voice merger with hangouts...

I will give voice choice a try and see if I like it.

I have tried Voice Choice and it seems okay. It's not nearly as easy as gvoice callback. I have it set to always use GV and then entered my "never use GV" contacts. I have the GV app set to always ask.

I'll continue playing with it and see what else it can do.

I kinda wish it had the ability to set always ask, but then tell it the contacts I want to "always use GV" and "never use GV" at the same time. Right now, I can only do one or the other, unless I hav emissed something.

I was just playing around and may have found a sort of solution. In settings go to advanced, there is an option there for 'quick dial settings'. I enabled it and it works. I dialed a number not in my contacts and added the + at the end, GV was bypassed and it was dialed through my regular number. Normally a number not in my contacts would use GV. I tried the same number without the + and it did use GV.

I didn't try it with GV set to always ask, not sure what it will do with that. I'll see if I can play later when I have a bit of time again.

I'm using my regular settings:
VC = always use GV
Numbers set to bypass GV

GV = always use GV

edit:
I'm not really sure what you're looking for but think this may work. You'd have your contacts using GV or your number automatically. Then, when you call someone not in your contacts you could add the + to bypass what you have VC set to do. You wouldn't need the 'always ask' set that way. Or, the 'always ask' should be kicking for any non-contact because that isn't set up to use your real number. I guess I don't know what you're shooting for here?
