In expectation of getting the Nexus 6, I also ordered the Supcase (Unicorn Beetle Series), Spartan Tempered Glass screen protector, Aukey USB Turbo Car Charger and Aukey 3 Port USB Charging Station. I'll transfer my Flygrip from my broken-down LG G2 to the Supcase.

I'm still looking for a decent car mount that I'll use in my '98 Ford Ranger. I'd prefer not having anything on the dashboard, but might end up getting something like the Spigen® [Stealth] Car Mount Holder [Only Landscape] or ChargerCity® Hippo Series Universal Smartphone GPS NonSlip Dashboard Beanbag. If anyone knows of a decent cup holder mount (short), I'd appreciate the advice. The challenge of getting a car mount is not just the limited space in my truck and size of the Nexus 6 in a case, but also the fact that the Flygrip will be glued to the back. Looks like I won't be doing any wireless charging, either. :(

Got my 64GB midnight blue Nexus 6 delivered today (299 + $24 shipping from amazon).
Some folks got a better deal, some got a worse deal... I think they're all good deals on this beast.

Just finished unlocking. I think it should be the first thing done on this device (unlike my previous three devices (Samsung Infuse, Samsung S4, LG Optimus Fuel) where the root exploits built into the root tools don't wipe your device.

Edit - now I flashed the factory image shamu-mmb29k to get to 6.0.1. Yee-hah.

The phone indicates (both in settings and in solid explorer) that I have 54.64 GB of storage total (it's the 64gb version). Is this normal?

One year later and my nexus 6 is still running great, I have no plans to upgrade, frankly I didn't like either the nexus devices that came out in 2015, sure their nexus but they seem like a down grade from the nexus 6, but to each their own
I've had mine for 5 months, and it still seems like a brand new phone, and I'm extremely happy with it. I've seen quite a few good reviews on the 6P, best Android phone, etc, plus the fingerprint scanner, so I've been considering getting one. I haven't seen one in person, so all I can go on are pictures online...

Next phone I am buying is the Samsung Galaxy grand prime on pay day for the wife. Her note 2 has finally reached the end of its life cycle. Replace the battery last week took it nearly 8 hrs to fully charge, died with in two hours. Replace the SD card with a 64gb SD card it increased the speed for a day. We're getting the grand prime to hold her over till fall when the note 6 comes out, she is a die hard note fan and one of the few people I know that actually uses that stylus pen. She also perfers Samsung to nexus

My oldest son just got the Note 5 and loves it, but barely ever uses the stylus. He wanted the Nexus 6P but needed to get something from Verizon on their payment plan.

Unless you NEED a fingerprint scanner, I wouldn't bother with the 6P. In real world usage, it isn't any faster. I would wait for the 2016 Nexus.
Thanks for your thoughts on it, I'm also starting to think more along those lines. I'm also not excited about the new USB C and needing to get all new cables, car etc.

So here we are only a few months away from the second anniversary of one if not the best Nexus phone ever, the Nexus 6 . I know many have moved on to the 6p, Nexus 5x and others to other phones including the iPhone (no hating) so how is everyone experience going with the 6???? Anyone planning to move on when the new models hit???
First off I won't be moving on. Unless something serious happens and my phone is destroyed. If that happens I am going to search high and low for another Nexus 6 or go with the Nexus 5x or the one without that ugly hump thing.
I have run into a few issues over the last few months. Most of them have been fix by cache wipes and installing various apps.
Our next phone purchase will be the note 6/7 for the wife

I have actually been quite frustrated with my Nexus 6 as of late. Today I installed the June security update, hoping they might have also fixed a few of the quirks I have been experiencing. The newsest of which is my phone wont let me turn off " Do Not Disturb " mode. I tried restarting the phone, tried setting an alarm and letting it go off to automatically end DND, but it wont turn off.

I am actually eyeing that ZTE Axon 7 hard. What a great phone all around, literally EVERYTHING I am looking for in a phone. I dont see anything wrong with that phone. My only concern, having zero previous experience with ZTE, is that im worried about how well they are going to be able to stay on top of updates... Anyone have any input on that?

The Note 6/7 is looking appealing, but since having my Nexus 6, a phone with front facing speakers is something that is a mandatory check box for me. With romors that the Next note is going to be water proof like its little brother, I fear the speaker will be equally terrible.
