Took a quick look at Maxx 2 at VZ store this morning. Very nice feel and size seems ok. Removable back looks and feels cheap. With display phones mounted on secure holder, backs pulled off every time the phone was picked up - backs did not seem very secure. VZ rep blamed Motorola for device not having 6.0. For me, with the cheap feeling back, and the VZ bloatware, this phone is also a non-starter.

The back on mine is solid. My guess is someone broke some of the tabs on it so now it won't stay put. Phones in stores get abused. I wouldn't base any assumption on a display model. Half the phones I looked at wouldn't even boot because they weren't charged.
While I despise Verizon and their bloatware as much as the next guy, at least it can be uninstalled/disabled. Not a perfect solution I admit but the US carriers do love their crapware and their terrible data plans.
