PRIVACY NOT SECURE May be an old topic but I just got my galaxy s7 edge and uploaded my work email and when I tried to open it I received a message saying PRIVACY NOT SECURE. I removed anti virus And cleared history then removed Sim card for 30 minutes then reinstalled still same result. Any ideas?

I think the message is coming from your work email app. What is the app? Is your phone rooted?

OK, I've seen that before myself with Chrome and the phone's stock browser, and has been reported here on AF as well. Are you using public WiFi to access the site, like in a hotel or on public transport or something?

Using Firefox or a VPN seems to fix it.

That's a normal alert. It has nothing to do with your phone. It just means you're connecting to a shared internet connection.

Another possibility - the padlock next to the URL is unlocked which usually means an insecure connection.

If the web address starts with "http://" change it to "https://" and see if you still get the message.

Are you prepending the URL with "https"? If so the site admin needs alerted to the fact that it's not enforcing the SSL/TLS encryption correctly, hence the open padlock.
